Finance and Tax Executive Role
To succeed in the Finance and Tax Executive role, you will need demonstrated expertise in collaborating with cross-functional team. You must possess good English communication and hands-on experience in MNC environment is an added advantage. Reporting to Cluster Finance Controller (CFC) based in Malaysia, you will serve as the key point of contact for all finance-related matters, providing essential tax and controlling support to internal departments and external parties. You will collaborate closely with local Finance Business Partner to support business needs. This position will include participation in ad-hoc projects, contributing insights and lead implementation of specific projects in the local market.
Typical Accountabilities:
- Act as a trusted finance partner to business functions, supporting operations teams in tax, controlling, and daily operations (T&E/AP/AR etc.), while working closely with the Shared Service Center in Malaysia
- Manage a broad range of finance operations, including vendor and contract management, asset management, company document administration, and regulatory reporting.
- Operate assigned finance controls and support the CFC in local discussions with control owners to ensure overall compliance
- Deliver finance training to internal stakeholders to strengthen financial knowledge and compliance.
- Provide support for Board of Directors Meeting (BoDM) and Annual General Meeting (AGM meetings), including preparation of necessary documents in collaboration with the Legal firm
- Review and assist in the monthly withholding tax e-filing submissions (PND 3 & 53) to the Revenue Department
- Assist in monitoring tax compliance and provide advice (on a need basis) to shared service and internal team on VAT, WHT and other tax-related matters
- Provide support in CIT deliverables, such as documentation and review of small-value assets
- Manage end-to-end Special Business Tax submission (PT40) when required
- Monitor outstanding vendor tax invoices and work with the finance admin to obtain the original tax invoice, enabling VAT input claims
- Act as a key finance contact for both internal and external stakeholders on controlling and tax matters
- Provide support for other ad hoc assignments, such as implementing e-Receipts, e-Withholding Tax, and additional finance-related projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 5 years of working experience in relation to WHT, VAT, CIT and accounting
- Good understanding of VAT, WHT, CIT and accounting and controlling processes
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
- Strong analytical skills with creative thinking
- Business-oriented mind with self-confidence
- Fluent in English & Thai and excellent communication
- Multi-tasking and working well under pressure
- Computer skills – SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI
