Primary Care Sales Representative
AstraZeneca is a global leader in science-led biopharmaceuticals, and our Cardiovascular, Renal & Metabolism (CVRM) business area is a key growth engine advancing innovation for patients living with diabetes, heart failure, and chronic kidney disease. We are at the forefront of transforming patient outcomes—and you could be part of this journey.
What You’ll Do
As a crucial member of our field sales team in the French-speaking region of Switzerland, you will act as a trusted partner to physicians and healthcare professionals. You will champion AstraZeneca’s CVRM and Respiratory & Immunology (R&I) medicines, encouraging meaningful engagement and contributing to our mission of patient-centric care.
By building and nurturing long-term relationships with general practitioners, you will provide up-to-date, accurate information about our therapies and their potential, using your expertise to support both customer and patient needs. You’ll coordinate activities across all relevant channels—digital, virtual, and in person—adapting to customer preferences and business priorities.
In this dynamic role, you’ll:
Visit physician offices, demonstrating professionalism and outstanding communication to educate on AstraZeneca products
Represent AstraZeneca at medical conferences, championing our scientific advances
Work hand-in-hand with the Sales Director to build and implement local strategies and business plans
Drive sales performance and proactively manage your territory to achieve, and exceed, targets
Grow relationships with new and existing customers, continually exploring solutions that best support their—and their patients’—needs
Implement omnichannel marketing and medical campaigns, engaging with customers both digitally and face-to-face
Embrace innovation, feedback, and new approaches to optimize customer engagement and business outcomes
Your Background
The role is ideal for someone with a strong scientific or paramedical background, ideally holding a Swiss SHQA qualification, who has gained several years’ pharmaceutical sales experience—preferably in the Romandie region.
You:
Demonstrate a clear patient-first approach in every professional interaction
Are experienced using face-to-face and digital sales channels to build access and partnership
Excel in teamwork, open communication, and active collaboration
Are flexible and open-minded, eager to use new ways of working and digital tools to drive growth
Are comfortable outside your comfort zone, always proactive about seeking feedback and coaching
Hold a proven understanding of relevant ethical standards and market regulations
Speak French fluently and, ideally, are comfortable in English
See omnichannel marketing not as a trend, but as an exciting opportunity to improve value for customers and patients
