Nordic Brand Manager for Women’s Cancer

Katr Koninki

What is your current job title and in which location do you work?

I’m Nordic Brand Manager for Women’s Cancer and I work in our Finnish office in Espoo.

What does your job entail on a day-to-day basis?

I’m responsible for planning and executing strategies for our breast and ovarian cancer products. No two days are the same, and I work with a lot of different people, both internally and externally, and handle multiple projects at the same time.

Tell me about your career journey in AstraZeneca

I started at AstraZeneca in April 2012 as a Key Account Manager in Oncology. After that, I moved to Medical and worked as a local Medical Advisor in Oncology. I’ve been in my current role since June 2017.

What do you like best about working in NoBa at AstraZeneca?

So many things! My colleagues are a great bunch, and I enjoy having the opportunity to work cross-functionally with people from different countries. I’ve found from experience that if you show the right interest, you can work on so many interesting things. I value our culture and non-hierarchical structure. And I have to mention our office – it’s recently been renovated to make it really cozy and I have the freedom to sit where I want every day.

How do you feel about being part of an organization that is pushing the boundaries of science to deliver life-changing medicines?

This is crucial to me. I have a scientific background and it is important to me that our work is based on science and innovation. But it’s not only about science: my work is really meaningful because it comes from the knowledge of how our medicines affect patients.

We’ll keep you up to date
