The Visualization Services Platform Engineer role is responsible for running & evolving the Administration operations for the Enterprise Visualization platforms. This role underpins the maintenance & governance of the visualization platforms. Application delivery functions by providing operational support services & development in PowerBI. This role requires a global remit with up to 3 regions at a minimum of 40% of overlap time, will report into IGNITE – ED&AI – Visualization Platform Service Lead
We are recruiting engineers to be based at our GITC site - Guadalajara. As an engineer, you will support the enterprise visualization platforms.
What you’ll do
- As a support analyst, you will assist end users with their Power BI-related queries and issues. You will provide troubleshooting assistance, resolve technical problems, and offer guidance on best practices. This role requires strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Power BI user management, data source configuration, troubleshooting issues, monitoring performance, and ensuring security and compliance.
- User, Workspace, Data source, Capacity management
- Resolving Power BI issues and providing user support. Generating basic reports on Power BI usage and performance.
- Plans all activities associated with the implementation and maintenance of platforms & solutions
- Ensure alignment to appropriate ServiceNow SLAs and set processes
- Simplify ways of working and managing platforms in the overall e2e platform service management process
- Establish Release and Quality Management processes and standards, ensure code quality and consistency, adherence to standards for both central and federated development workstreams
- Proactively identify trends, determine incident root causes, and manage adverse events from identification to resolution
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, data models, report development with applied experience in analyzing structured datasets
- Strong and effective inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of users and staff.
Essential for the role
- 2 to 5 years of progressive Visualization platform Fabric administration experience and running production support operations.
- Monitoring Power BI usage, identifying potential issues, and auditing user activity to maintain data security and compliance
- Engaged in e2e lifecycle activities of Visualization platforms & applications Design, Build, Test, Maintenance & Production Support
The Visualization Platform Engineer role essential and must have specializations include:
- Visualization Services & Tooling -Microsoft Fabric PowerBI
- Platform administration Operations
- Azure components, Rest API, Powershell scripting
- Databases – Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redshift and so forth
- Service Management – ServiceNow
- e2e Software Lifecycle Management
Essential
- Any stream of engineering Bachelor’s degree
- Experience working in a global organization with multi-partners, stakeholders and team members are spread out in a diverse culture environment
- Good knowledge in IT Service Management - Change, Release, Incident and Problem Management processes
- Good knowledge & experience e2e Software Lifecycle management & Service delivery
- Good knowledge & experience working with RDBMS and Visualization services, technologies & platforms
- Good knowledge & experience on Visualization platforms system administration, governance and application maintenance
- Ability to learn and understand new technological trends & concepts
- Good listening, presentation; written & verbal communication & stakeholder management skills
- Good analytical & logical reasoning ability with a proactive approach to problem solving and inter/intra personal skills
Desirable
- Exposure to platforms observability & service health monitoring tools
- Understanding of pharmaceutical / life-sciences business process & data models
- Possess good knowledge of Change, Release, Incident and Problem Management processes
- Good knowledge & understanding of ITIL / SOx / GxP processes
