Market Access Application Engineer Jr
Introduction to Role
Are you ready to harness automation and AI to keep critical market access systems running at peak performance and help medicines reach patients faster? Do you thrive where precision, accountability and rapid problem-solving are essential in a regulated environment?
In this junior engineering role, you will support and evolve the technology that underpins pricing, contracting, payments and forecasting across multiple markets. You will join a high-energy team that blends engineering rigor with curiosity, using modern tools to monitor, troubleshoot and improve a confidential, tightly controlled platform. Your work will restore service quickly, prevent incidents before they happen and deliver automations that free our colleagues to focus on patient impact.
This is a hands-on opportunity to learn from experienced engineers and business partners, working across applications, data flows and integrations. You will translate business needs into technical actions, engage vendors and internal teams, and contribute to a culture that values learning, ownership and thoughtful risk management.
Accountabilities
- Platform Reliability and Monitoring: Maintain high availability by proactively monitoring business applications and middleware interfaces; run start-of-shift checks, end-of-shift handovers and daily source-to-target data validations to catch issues early.
- Incident Response and Root Cause Analysis: Triage, troubleshoot and resolve incidents on the Market Access platform; execute structured root cause analysis to prevent recurrence and shorten time to restore.
- Data Integrity and Operational Excellence: Validate critical data flows from source to target systems; protect accuracy and timeliness for pricing, contracts and payments that directly influence business decisions.
- Continuous Improvement and Automation: Identify and implement optimizations using scripting, integration tooling and AI—including early exploration of LLM-based solutions—to reduce manual effort and improve user experience and system resilience.
- Compliance by Design: Embed SOx controls and quality procedures into everyday work; document evidence, manage change rigorously and coordinate closely with quality management stakeholders to pass audits with confidence.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with business process owners, vendor teams and support groups; translate technical issues into clear business language, facilitate effective communication and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Project Participation: Contribute as a team member across Market Access projects, supporting delivery alongside business-as-usual responsibilities.
- Ways of Working and Prioritization: Use incident and agile management tools, apply structured prioritization to focus on what matters most and sustain a disciplined cadence in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Growth and Team Culture: Learn through innovation, share learnings openly, own mistakes, ask for help early and help build a reliable, trusting team.
