Role Description:

TheSenior Manager, Congress Lead will operationalizeAstraZeneca’s breast franchisestrategy through Congressexecution.Responsible for planning, executing, andoptimizingcompliant congress activationactivities. This rolewill work in close collaboration with franchise counterparts and cross-functional partners and driveexecutionalalignment across multiplebreast cancerbrands and indicationsthroughoperational excellence.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Drive congress execution acrossAstraZeneca’sbreast cancer franchise

  • Partner with Sales, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, and external agencies to align efforts and execute initiatives.

  • Manage budget and associated AZ processes

  • Lead the tactical elements of the annual operational planning process in partnership with agencies and cross-functional partners

  • Manage partner agency relationships,workflowand related project budgets – includingtimelyoperations (e.g.POs, invoices, etc.)

Minimum qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field

  • 3 years’ experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry with experience in one or more of the following: managed markets, brand marketing, sales, market research/analytics, strategic planning

Preferred qualifications 

  • Prior in-linecongress leadexperience

  • MBA in relevant field

  • Oncology, rare disease, or specialty care experience highly preferred

  • Understanding of U.S. Oncology landscape including Community Oncology and Hospital Oncology dynamics, GPOs, Payer landscape, Specialty Pharmacy stakeholders

  • Marketing experience (developing brand strategy, performing positioning, messaging, segmentation, targeting, leading ad agency, providing direction on annual budget planning)

  • Experience across multiple promotional channels (Personal, Non-Personal and Digital, Patient marketing)

  • Familiarity with the breast cancer landscape, treatments, and patient journeys.

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $151,000- $226,000. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
