Senior Business Accountant

As a member of the US Finance Services Team, this Senior Business Accountant will handle various compensation and benefits-related accounting and reporting functions within SOX control and compliance guidelines.     

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversight of Long-Term Incentive Plan accounting, reporting, and budget forecasting.
  • Providing support for internal and external audits.
  • Preparation of related Tax Provision schedules.
  • Preparation of related Working Capital/Cash Flow schedules, analysis, and forecasts.  
  • Preparing or approving related balance sheet account monthly reconciliations.

Additional Responsibilities May Include:

Providing information and support to Finance liaisons and our partners in other business areas.

Preparing accounting and reporting for other Compensation, Fringe Benefits, and Payroll Programs.

Supporting the Director, Payroll and Benefit Plans Accounting where needed.

Handling other responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Essential Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as Accounting or Business Administration

4-6 years accounting experience 

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong customer service, interpersonal, and problem resolution skills

Ability to work independently within the team environment.

Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve desired business results.

Attention to detail and organization while meeting published deadlines.

Observation of confidentiality and discretion

Preferred Background:

MBA or CPA

Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP accounting principles

Corporate systems experience, especially covering general ledger and HR/Payroll

Familiarity with payroll and benefits methodology

Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley structure and guidelines
