Introduction to role

This is a field-based role supporting the Pacific time zone (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM PST) (11:30 AM EST - 8:00 PM EST). Up to 20% potential travel annually to existing Alexion sites and off-site meetings when requested.

Accountabilities

The Neurology Lead is an Alexion Patient Services’ leadership role that will manage a team of geographically aligned OneSource Support Specialists (OSS). Our OSSs are the front-line roles that provide support for our patients, caregivers, and external partners. This role will support and lead the OSSs as they manage our patients during the onboarding and care plan phases of the patient journey when prescribed Alexion products.

The Neurology Lead will manage their team with a focus on providing an excellent patient experience through ongoing coaching and development, clear data-driven performance measurements, and ensuring compliance with all Alexion policies, SOPs, and work instructions. The Lead will partner cross-functionally with all areas of Patient Services, field teams, training, and other Alexion internal partners.

You will need to have:
•    HS Diploma & 3+ years of Patient Services or similar operational experience 
•    Passion for patient-centric actions and focus
•    Experience with working across groups and presenting to leadership 
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills
•    Strong presentation skills, knowledge of business protocol, time management and organizational skills
•    Ability to coordinate multiple assignments simultaneously.
•    Ability to work independently
•    The duties of this role generally are conducted in an office environment.  As is typical of an office-based role, employees must be able, with or without an accommodation to use a computer; engage in communications via phone, video, and electronic messaging; engage in problem solving and non-linear thought, analysis, and dialogue; collaborate with others; maintain general availability during standard business hours.


We would prefer for you to have:
•    Bachelor’s Degree
•    5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience
•    Experience leading teams through change
•    Advanced degree a plus
•    2+ years of team leadership

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $151,000. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles) or to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
