Digital and Computational Pathology (AI-Guided Tissue Image Analysis) Intern
We are seeking sophomore and junior majoring in Biological Sciences, Computer Science, or Marketing for a 12-Week Student Intern role to be with an opening in Wilmington, DE for a May 19th - August 8th contract period.
Position Duties:
Lung Dx 2025 Intern will be a significant contributor to the development and delivery of our D/CP educational programs, specifically focusing on:
interactive roundtable session with CAP
tissue stewardship with D/CP platforms with USCAP
development of specialized training for histotechnologists in partnership with ASCP.
Interns will gain the following skills/insights/experiences from the internship:
awareness and knowledge of a key emerging technology (D/CP), including key barriers of its clinical implementation
development of strategic mindset of recognizing barriers and approaches to addressing them via medical education
ability to work in matrix environments with participation of internal meetings with cross functional partners
experiences in working with external societies/partnerships in a compliant manner
project management skills to ensure continued progress on multiple related educational initiatives.
AI-guided tissue image analysis
Position Requirements:
Sophomore and junior majoring in Biological Sciences, Computer Science, or Marketing.
**Candidates must have an expected graduation date after August 2025.
Proficiency in common software platforms, including MS Office and Adobe Pro, is required.
Proficiency in project management platforms, such as Smartsheet, is a plus.
Basic awareness of AI-based image analysis and/or computational pathology is preferred.
Basic awareness of cancer biology and/or medicine is preferred.
Prior research experience that demonstrates interests in cancer biology or medicine is a strong plus.
Project management experience is a plus.
Enthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, public speaking, and presentation design.
US Work Authorization is required at time of application.
This role will not be providing OPT support.
Ability to report onsite to Wilmington, DE 3-5 days a week. This role will not provide relocation assistance.
Minimum grade point average of 3.0
