Associate Director, Marketing - Life Cycle Management/HCP Marketing

Join us as Associate Director, Marketing in Wilmington, DE for the respiratory team, where you will play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives. As an Associate Director, you will be responsible for bringing Brand Strategy to realization through leadership of market research, insight and analytics, brand positioning and messaging, and integrated launch plans. You will establish strong alliances with other marketing peers across consumer/HCP, Corporate Affairs, Medical, Regulatory and Access partners. Your role will also involve leading defined work streams and brand opportunities as defined by Marketing Leaders, with accountability for the end product. You will define success metrics; monitor and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
What you’ll do
- Oversee the launch readiness and launch for future indications and LCM activities, including coordination across the cross functional team, ensuring dynamic strategic and tactical plan are built and aligned across the organization
- Develop and deliver disease state engagement and foundational brand campaign/plans/messages in support and preparation of new launches
- Strong foundational skills and experience across a range of HCP marketing activities – scientific communications, congresses, personal promotion and non personal promotion (CRM, omnichannel, etc.)
- Maintain strong knowledge of the clinical disease state and guidelines; confidently engage clinicians and external experts in clinical discussions to prepare for launch.
- Prioritize customer needs; design, refine, and articulate clear value propositions that resonate across segments.
- Apply the latest analytical and research techniques to deepen insights into customers, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes.
- Build clear, compelling brand narratives and assets that differentiate and drive preference.
- Participate in budget planning; manage operational spend, forecasts, and ROI to meet financial objectives.
- Define and track KPIs to assess customer/patient engagement and brand program effectiveness; report results and actions.
- Review market insights, anticipate trends, and map the patient journey using qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Translate digital strategies into measurable business outcomes, tying tactics to conversion, engagement, and brand growth.
- Identify innovative approaches to address market challenges; contribute to the evolution of brand strategies and tactical plans.
Essential for the role
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ yrs experience in one or a combination of : pharmaceutical, healthcare, scientific, clinical, institutional or related industry experience And / OR commercial experience
Desirable for the role
- Experience in GI diseases, with Gastro HCPs, and/or GI specialty medicines
- Advanced Degree in Business, Marketing, or Science
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Ability to successfully work through ambiguity
- Marked capability in driving work at pace, leading cross functionally, operating in ambiguity and in a matrixed environment
- Demonstrated Learning Agility
- Experience leading both HCP marketing strategy and tactics (AD level work)
- Experience on launches or pre-launch brands (segmentation, opportunity sizing, narrative development, disease state education campaigns, etc.)
- Sales Experience (sales professional, first line manager)
