The role:
We are invitingcandidates for a 9‑month / 12-month roleas a Specialist Programmer I/II.As a Specialist Programmer I / II,you’llbe part of a teamresponsible forprotectingpatient privacywhen clinical data is shared within AstraZeneca/with external partners around the worldandformaintainingdata anonymisation toolssupporting this process.
Key highlights of the role:
- Support day‑to‑dayData De-identification (DEID)operationaltasks
- Helptodevelop, review, improve, and maintain DEID tools
- Apply coding standards and team guidelines while working on day‑to‑day tasksTake ownership ofdelegatedtasks, including basic documentation
- Assistwith compliance and validation toensure that systems are ready for audit
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and helpmaintainclear, basic documentation

Key requirements:
Education &Language:
- Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Life Sciences, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Fluent communication in spoken and written English.
Required skills:
- Programming:
- SAS/Python or another programming language
- Experienceindevelopingutilities and tools
General understanding of:
Data analysis and reporting
Data managementwithinClinicalTrials
Data privacy and compliance when working with sensitive information.
