As the Senior Manager, Process/Policy and Automation for CGS, you will serve as a member of the Corporate Giving Services Leadership Team within the Global Business Services (GBS) Compliance, Legal, Services (CLS) business unit. The incumbent will be responsible for leading the process documentation and adherence to policy requirements of the service line as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of GBS initiatives (i.e. Project Keystone, Eureka, BIC, Workvivo, AI, etc.) The role should ensure ongoing evolution of the processes by defining strategies based on current process performance and changes in internal and external landscape.

In this role, you will work closely with CGS team members, Operations, Technical as well as Expansion teams to define and manage a fit for purpose process and adherence to the global governance and operating platform. The incumbent will also model AstraZeneca’s high ethical standards as an advocate for compliance with AZ policies, standards, and operating procedures that govern engagements with HCOs/organizations.

Major Responsibilities:

  • This role reports to and supports the Senior Director of CGS in close collaboration with the CGS leadership team with supporting initiatives which aims to centralize and standardize process/policy documentation across CGS/GBS as well as implement automation
  • Develop/maintain a complete process documentation initiative to baseline processes across CGS service offerings, incorporating changes to processes as needed
  • Document/maintain the global Standard, global SOP and standard operational processes and process flows for CGS in accordance with GBS requirements, format and leveraging the approved tools (i.e. BIC) as required
  • Act as CGS SME supporting automation (i.e. BOT and AI automation) and remain engaged with PAS and other IT, Finance, GBS teams to drive process optimization & automation opportunities
  • Deliver against aggressive BOT, AI and internal productivity milestones
  • Lead the strategic requirements for achieving internal productivity targets. Be the point person for CGS Eureka/Automation ideas, tracking, etc.
  • The role serves as the SME and thus, owns governess of the overarching end to end business process in partnership with the Senior Director of the service line
  • The role is also accountable for providing feedback, recommendations and process adjustments to the Senior Director of CGS
  • This manager role will own GBS level process documentation including Standards, SOP’s, SWI’s, training materials and all other documents related to process governance
  • Primary point of contact for developing/maintaining Workvivo space content
  • Support knowledge sharing and continuous education for Operations Managers, Quality Manager, Technical team and Operations Specialists of any process updates

Required Education & Experience

  • College/University degree
  • 5+ years of Corporate Giving Services experience from both a processes and technology perspective
  • Excellent planning and organization skills with demonstrated multi-tasking and project management skills
  • Prior experience as an operations owner and/or global process owner
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of process or business excellence with a strong strategic acumen
  • Ability to uphold regulator, company and customer standards
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills including presentation skills
  • In-depth knowledge of AstraZeneca’s operations, processes, and systems
