ABOUT DEPARTMENT

The Diagnostic Project Management group within Precision Medicine & Biosamples, Project, Portfolio & Operations is accountable for providing project and portfolio management to the AZ Precision Medicine portfolio to ensure successful delivery of diagnostic projects from initiation of development to regulatory approval, across all therapy areas, and to further optimise the delivery of precision medicines by defining and championing best practices. Furthermore, this group is responsible for driving continuous improvement processes, for providing accurate Precision Medicine portfolio information for decision making and business reporting, and for capacity and resource management.

JOB ROLE

The Diagnostic Project Administrator will use their excellent organisational skills to enable Diagnostic Project Teams to focus on science to deliver medicines to patients. Working alongside the Diagnostic Project Manager to provide high quality project administration to enable the successful delivery of several cross functional projects. You’ll play a key role in bringing the Diagnostic Project Teams together, with responsibility for meeting preparation such as scheduling global project meetings, coordinating the agenda and working with presenters to collate meeting information. In addition the Project Administrator will ensure that all project documentation is available within the central repository (SPOL), and filed in a consistent way across projects.

Typical Accountabilities:

  • Focused Project administration support for multiple global Diagnostic Project Teams

  • Managing the project calendar to schedule global project team meetings for AZ teams and external partners

  • Project meeting preparation e.g. creation of meeting agendas, coordinating meeting inputs/ presentations

  • Support project team preparation for project governance and external meetings/ congresses

  • Support the project team preparing documents and presentation materials

  • Ensure all project documentation is stored in a consistent and logical way (SPOL)

  • Plans, organises, and schedules own workload so that all activities are completed accurately and on time

  • Uses technical expertise to drive simplification and standardisation for information management across Precision Medicine

Essential experience/skills

  • At least 2 years administration experience in a global/ corporate company

  • Experience of global team-working and communicating across cultures with key stakeholders

  • Strong organisation and forward-planning skills, with attention to detail

  • Experience of using Microsoft Office/ Outlook and SharePoint Online

  • Can create and maintain systems for efficiency for both self and others

  • A professional, enthusiastic and proactive approach, with the ability to deliver a diverse and demanding workload

Desirable

  • Prior experience of working with global project teams

  • Prior experience of working in global pharmaceutical/ science focused organization

  • Influencing skills with ability to engage relevant people in developing solutions

  • Champion of efficient and effective systems and processes
