- Translate business and operational needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items within agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban)
- Manage the full product lifecycle — from requirements gathering and development through validation, deployment, and retirement — in alignment with GxP standards
- Identify and scope AI improvement opportunities within assigned systems, focusing on automation, NLP, and predictive capabilities that reduce manual burden and accelerate study delivery
- Monitor system performance against defined KPIs, using data to drive prioritization and continuous improvement
Collaborate Across Functions
- Partner with R&D IT, Data Science, Clinical Operations, and QA to co-develop solutions that are technically sound, user-centered, and audit-ready
- Engage vendors and technology partners to manage feature delivery, resolve issues, and ensure contractual alignment
- Act as the voice of the end user, synthesizing feedback from study teams and clinical operations to continuously refine AI product capabilities
- Contribute to governance bodies and steering committees relevant to assigned systems, representing business interests in prioritization and risk decisions
- Ensure Compliant AI Adoption
- Embed regulatory compliance (ICH/GxP, FDA, EMA) throughout the product lifecycle, including validation planning, risk assessments, and SOP maintenance
- Produce and maintain system documentation — validation plans, user requirements, risk registers — to ensure audit and inspection readiness
- Champion responsible AI practices including bias awareness, transparency, and data privacy (GDPR, HIPAA) within the scope of assigned products
- Support audit and regulatory inspection preparation and conduct, providing documentation and subject matter expertise
Drive Continuous Improvement
- Define and track KPIs for system performance, user adoption, and compliance adherence
- Apply process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) to identify inefficiencies and deliver measurable operational gains
- Stay current with AI/ML developments relevant to clinical operations, surfacing applicable innovations for consideration within the product roadmap
Essential
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Data Science, Life Sciences, or equivalent experience.

- Working knowledge of AI/ML technologies — including NLP, predictive analytics, and automation — and their application to clinical or regulated environments
- Experience in a regulated industry (pharma, biotech, medical devices, or healthcare) with knowledge of ICH/GxP, FDA, or EMA standards
- Experience producing GxP-compliant system documentation, including validation plans, risk assessments, and SOPs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
Desirable
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant discipline
- Recognized agile certification (Certified Scrum Product Owner, SAFe PO/PM, or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML platforms
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma or equivalent process improvement methodologies
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira) and service management practices
- Experience managing external vendors and technology partners
