KeyResponsibilities

  • Develop andemploychemicaltoolsandproteomicstechnologies toprovideimpactfulmechanisticinsightsfordrug discoveryprojectsacrosstherapeutic areas

  • Develop mass spectrometry-based methodsto conductcovalentscreens

  • Design and execute experimental plans to understandtarget engagementandselectivityprofilesof therapeutic agents,understand drug-induced proteomedynamicsand investigatepost-translational modifications (PTM)

  • Represent CBP team, and communicate withprojectdiscipline leads, andcontribute togeneration ofmechanistic hypothesisthroughinterpretation of sophisticated proteomics data

  • Maintainand troubleshootLC-MSsystem

Essential Requirements

  • PhD with2+ yearsof post-doctoral/industrialexperience

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with sample preparation and method development on quantitative mass spectrometry (relative and/orabsoluteproteinquantification)

  • Experience with mass spectrometry-based covalent screening, and provenexpertisewith IP-MS or chemical probe-basedenrichment MSworkflows,andexperiencedeveloping automated processes to analyzelarge numberof samplesforMS analysis

  • Skilled ininvestigatingcompound effectsunder biochemical and cellular settingswith quantitativemass spectrometry,e.g.PTMs, protein complexes perturbations,etc

  • Experience indeterminingprotein abundanceand turnoverby using quantitative proteomicstechnologies, such as TMT, SILAC,and/orlabel-free approaches and data independent acquisition (DIA)

  • Expertisein data analysis and an ability to communicate data interpretation clearly

  • Significant external reputation gained through professional recognition, externalpresentationsand publicationsin high-impact journals

  • Ability to contribute with a positive, result oriented andproblem-solving attitude

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in pre-clinical drug discovery

  • Experience usingThermoQ-Exactive,OrbitrapExploris,Eclipse,AstralZoomorTimsTOF

  • ExperiencewithXcalibur, Proteome Discoverer,MaxQuant, Skyline,Spectronautand DB search engine tools

  • Experience with liquid handling systems and robotic automation

  • Familiarity with targeted proteomics is a plus

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $116,284.00 - $174,426.00 USD Annual. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles).
