As the Medical Affairs Manager & MSL Lead for CVRM, you will be at the forefront of transforming medical practice and improving patient outcomes in cardiovascular, renal and metabolic diseases. You will shape medical strategy and lead field medical excellence by partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders, anticipating their needs, and translating them into actionable, compliant plans. You will own the integrated medical plan for selected brands, enable high‑quality scientific engagement through your MSL team, and ensure cross‑functional alignment to deliver impact at speed and scale. With a strong patient‑centric approach, you will help build confidence in our therapies, contribute to clinical development and evidence generation, and elevate scientific standards across Austria.

As a member of our Medical Affairs team, you will:
- Develop and own the integrated medical brand plan and associated budget, aligning office‑ and field‑based tactics to CVRM objectives.
- Design, lead, and monitor the MSL/field medical strategy; recruit, coach, and develop the MSL team to deliver impactful, compliant scientific engagements.
- Provide ongoing medical and clinical expertise to inform brand strategy, supporting successful pre‑launch activities and lifecycle management.
- Drive high‑quality insight generation through MSL field engagements and your own interactions; synthesize and translate insights into clear priorities and evidence needs.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Information, Patient Safety, Diagnostics, ClinOps, and Commercial to deliver integrated activities.
- Ensure scientific and medical accuracy of materials; act as medical reviewer/signatory per governance and support dissemination of study results at congresses/publications.
- Plan and execute medical education and advisory boards with clear objectives, documentation, and follow‑through; deliver internal scientific training for cross‑functional teams and MSLs.
- Evaluate and support externally sponsored research (ESRs), RWE/registries and observational studies to milestones, ensuring GCP/SOP compliance and audit readiness.
- Oversee customer development and scientific inquiry management, ensuring timely, balanced responses and appropriate escalation.
- Steward resources and budget across office and field activities; champion ethics, quality, and compliance while collaborating nationally and internationally to drive practice change.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- MD, PhD, PharmD or comparable degree in natural sciences
- Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in Medical Affairs (e.g., MSL, Medical Advisor, Medical Affairs Manager) within the relevant therapeutic area
- Strategic thinking and the ability to translate data and insights into clear actions; project‑based experience valued
- Proven stakeholder engagement with HCPs and scientific experts; established CVRM network is a strong advantage
- Thorough knowledge of local regulatory and market access requirements for Medical Affairs activities
- Comprehensive understanding of the legal and ethical framework for medicinal products in Austria (Arzneimittelgesetz, Pharmig Code, Pharmacodex; Compliance)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to convey complex scientific/medical information to diverse audiences
- Very good spoken and written German and English
- Quick self‑learner; able to work both independently and in cross‑functional teams
- Driver’s license B and willingness to travel throughout Austria
