This state-of-the-art facility will deliver end-to-end Antibody-Drug Conjugate (ADC) capabilities under one roof:

• Small molecule chemical API production

• Large molecule antibody manufacturing

• Conjugation

• Fill-and-finish operations, including sterile filling and lyophilization

The site will be equipped with cutting-edge digital and automation infrastructure, enabling autonomous manufacturing powered by artificial intelligence. In addition, it will be designed for carbon neutrality, embedding sustainability into every aspect of operations and setting a new benchmark for environmentally responsible biologics manufacturing.

Accountabilities:

  • Compliance Learning Framework: Design, implement, and govern a site-wide training framework and matrix with named owners and functional heads to embed a strong compliance culture.
  • Training Governance and Metrics: Drive training compliance performance, targeting 100% completion of mandatory learning within 30 days of assignment and closure of at least 90% of training-related CAPAs by due date through Q4 2026.
  • End-to-End L&D Cycle Ownership: Own and continuously enhance the L&D cycle with HR, SHE, Quality, and site leaders so it reflects evolving business needs and future capability requirements.
  • Curriculum and Program Design: Lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of compliance, technical, leadership, and professional programs that enable role readiness and business outcomes.
  • Platforms and Ecosystem: Ensure robust provision across GMP (EVeeva), HSE, Global Training (Cornerstone), and leadership/functional development (Degreed), optimizing how teams access and apply learning.
  • Skills and Capability Uplift: Identify capability gaps, define clear development goals, and implement sustainable solutions, including early-talent and academy-style pathways with academic partners.
  • Facilitation and Enablement: Facilitate targeted sessions for departments on the L&D cycle and priority topics; coach managers and process owners to structure jobs, learning plans, and certifications effectively in the eLMS.
  • GMP and eLMS Excellence: Assess GMP, technical, and skill-based training to identify risks and improvements; develop and execute annual GMP-focused compliance materials; strengthen qualification standards and assessments.
  • Inspection Readiness and Quality Systems: Link training effectiveness to compliance performance; maintain a state of continuous inspection readiness; contribute to audits, change controls, and deviation investigations where training is relevant.
  • Data and Impact: Use learning analytics to measure impact, translate insights into program improvements, and report progress to leadership with clear, outcome-focused metrics.
  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Lead site process improvement initiatives and selected corporate training projects; stay current with industry innovation to keep approaches modern and effective.
  • Vendor and Budget Management: Select and manage external consultants and providers to ensure high-quality, relevant, and cost-effective services; deliver within budget expectations.
  • Team Leadership: Provide first-line supervision and guidance to training consultants and support roles; develop comprehensive training plans to meet current and future workforce needs.
  • SHE and Ethics: Work to SHE standards; champion AstraZeneca values and Code of Ethics; complete required compliance training on time and escalate non-compliance appropriately.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • At least 8 years in L&D within regulated industries (biopharma, med tech, manufacturing) preferred; strong understanding of GMP, GxP/HSE training.
  • Proven design and facilitation of blended programs; experience with LMS/LXP administration and learning analytics.
  • Track record building early talent or academy-style programs with academic partners.
  • Previous work knowledge in curriculum architecture, project management, data literacy for learning analytics
  • Experience measuring learning impact and translating insights into program improvements.
  • Strong stakeholder management and vendor oversight; comfort working in a matrix environment.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Six sigma certification or lean manufacturing working knowledge
