Neuro/Meta Franchise Lead, Rare Disease
Purpose of the Job
- The Franchise Lead is responsible for shaping the franchise strategy and orchestrating cross‑functional execution to maximize patient impact, ensure compliant commercialization, and drive sustainable growth for the franchise portfolio.
Typical Accountabilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the business unit’s long-term strategic plans and annual operating plans.
- Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities.
- Drive strategic initiatives that strengthen market position and competitive advantage.
2. P&L and Financial Management
- Own full P&L responsibility for the business unit, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Ensure revenue, margin, and profitability targets are met or exceeded.
- Optimize cost structures and resource allocation.
3. Commercial & Business Development
- Lead business development activities to acquire new clients, expand accounts, and accelerate revenue growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Oversee pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and proposal development.
4. Operational Excellence
- Ensure efficient operations across sales, marketing, customer service, and delivery functions.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, performance metrics, and operational execution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
5. Team Leadership & People Management
- Lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams across the business unit.
- Set performance objectives, conduct evaluations, and implement talent development plans.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Finance, HR, Marketing, Supply Chain, and other corporate functions to align strategies and ensure successful execution.
- Represent the business unit in leadership meetings, strategic discussions, and corporate initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in business management, sales, strategy, or related functions.
- Demonstrated success managing P&L and driving business growth.
- Experience leading teams and managing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Industry-specific expertise (optional depending on company).
