Associate Director, P&R

Typical Accountabilities

  • Lead development and execution of pricing & reimbursement strategy for assigned brand with understanding products, markets, stakeholders and health care policy
    • P&R dossier development including Health Economics/Budget Impact Analysis and deliver scientific communication/follow up on supplementary data request with HIRA and NHIS reviewers
    • Lead development of price negotiation strategy and executes successful price negotiation with government to minimize price reduction
  • Develop real world evidence research plan if necessary and collaborates with cross-functional team to execute timely
  • Effective management of key customers in relevant government agencies (HIRA, NHIS, MoHW) and key stakeholders (National assembly, Clinical academia, HTA experts group)
  • Work closely with global team (P&MA, HEOR and Pricing implementation team) to make input on Korea issue and data requirements, to get support on data generation to satisfy Korea requirements, and to get global pricing approval to proceed P&R process in Korea
  • Close collaboration with cross-functional team (BU, Medical, Regulatory affairs, Government affairs, Business development, Finance) on P&R strategy development & implementation
  • Pricing management to minimize price erosion by various price cut regulation (PVA, mATP etc) and to provide P&R insights on pricing erosion for business planning
  • Maintain industry network to be timely updated on policy changes and to participate in in industry working group  for environment shaping a favourable way of AZ business

  • Provide appropriate direction and support P&R specialist on P&R strategy development and implementation in collaboration with global/local cross-functional team and external stakeholders
  • Develops competency of P&R specialist through internal & external education, OJT and continuous coaching

Essential

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • +10 years of pharmaceutical experience
  • > 5 years of experience in P&R and/or HE (market access strategy development and execution)
  • Good understanding and interpretation of clinical, health economics and outcomes research data
  • Strategic/logical thinking
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Korean

Desirable

  • MPH, MSc or PhD in relevant field
  • Good technical skills & knowledge on HE modelling, statistics, clinical trial
  • Experience managing complex projects with demanding timelines
  • Good interpersonal skills and people managing experience
  • An in-depth understanding of market environment and needs in payer’s perspective
