[Job Description]

Lead the Corporate Affairs strategic initiatives as a communication representative:
- Establishes corporate affairs strategy and programs to position the company as a trusted partner of Korean society and contributes to generating business impact through strategic media outreach
- Employs expertise of internal communication to effectively disseminate AstraZeneca strategies, policies and other key information to a geographical or functional area

May act as an expert resource on external communications for a functional area or geography.

[Typical Accountabilities]

Corporate Reputation Management
- Contributes to building a corporate reputation among the public, patients, medical society, and the Korean healthcare industry by effectively leveraging media opportunities
- Plans and leads strategic media outreaching activities to strengthen corporate reputation including market leadership, R&D, GPTW, and ESG initiatives
- Crisis management plan and strategy for the most expected scenarios
Internal Communications
- Develops internal communications strategies and programs in line with the annual business calendar while seeking ways to encourage a better understanding of the company’s vision.
- Supports and leads leadership teams’ communications to engage with employees


Brand PR
- Contributes to brand strategy development as appropriate
- Collaborates with sales and marketing team to ensure delivering consistent and effective messages to external audiences

[Skills and Qualifications]

- 15+ years of communications experience (internal communication experience and patient advocacy required)

- Experience working effectively with and managing Public Relations agencies and other vendors
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- Ability to understand and interpret scientific and medical data
- Excellent writing skills both in Korean and English
- Proficient communication ability with related stakeholders
- Knowledge and experience in handling scientific and medical data
- A collaborative mindset to engage with multiple stakeholders
- First-rate coordination, collaboration, organization, and multi-tasking skills
- Thorough knowledge of budget management

[Desirable]

- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and / or strategic function
- Knowledge of industry, academia, and patient associations
- Public relations background, or journalism experience
