What you’ll do

Join our CVRM (Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolism) team as a Junior Key Account Manager within our commercial sales team. You will support relationship development with key customers in your region including cardiologist, contribute to achieving sales objectives, and learn to engage customers through AstraZeneca’s approved channels. This is a growth role with mentorship, clear training, and cross‑functional exposure. You’ll help promote AstraZeneca medicines to support disease awareness, early diagnosis, and treatment initiation, while developing your commercial skills within a collaborative Business Unit.

Key responsibilities

  • Customer support and insights: Assist in identifying and maintaining a list of targeted customers aligned to Business Unit strategies. Capture and share basic customer insights to inform tailored engagement.
  • Relationship building: Support senior colleagues in preparing for and following up on customer interactions; gradually take on your own meetings under guidance.
  • Multichannel engagement: Use approved AstraZeneca communication channels (virtual and in‑person) to schedule, coordinate, and deliver tailored touchpoints, following approved materials.
  • Sales activity execution: Contribute to territory activity plans; execute assigned tasks to help deliver Sales Incentive Plan objectives, with coaching from your manager.
  • Market and data basics: Learn to analyze regional sales dashboards and simple data reports to identify opportunities; propose actions with support from senior team members.
  • Product promotion: Promote prioritized AstraZeneca products strictly in line with approved materials and SmPC; reinforce disease awareness and appropriate use.
  • Marketing collaboration: Coordinate logistics for local marketing initiatives; provide clear feedback from the field to improve relevance and effectiveness.
  • Cross‑functional teamwork: Work closely with Product Managers, Medical, Market Access, and other team members to support account plans and execution.
  • Events and operations: Help prepare offers, support business events, and coordinate documentation for contracts and demand management as directed.
  • Communication and reporting: Maintain timely updates to internal stakeholders on activities, insights, and risks within your assigned accounts.
  • Compliance and ethics: Uphold AstraZeneca’s ethical standards, comply with legislation and industry codes, and complete required training on time.
  • Safety and quality: Act according to AstraZeneca’s safety, health, and environment policies; promptly report safety information, product defects, or suspected counterfeits.
  • Logistics coordination: Collaborate with Logistics Managers and Business Specialists to help ensure smooth supply and sales support for institutional customers.
  • Budget awareness: Support basic tracking of operational spend for assigned activities; escalate issues as needed.

Skills/Experience

  • Higher education (life sciences, business, or related field preferred) or equivalent practical experience preferred but not essential
  • Flexibility, openness to change, and adaptability in a fast‑moving environment
  • Strong customer orientation and professional communication skills
  • Results orientation with a learning mindset; receptive to coaching and feedback
  • Relationship‑building skills; collaborative team player
  • Digitally savvy; comfortable using CRM tools and virtual engagement platforms (training provided)
  • Native Language as well as English speaking skills, essential
  • Valid driving license

Desirable

  • Internship, placement, or up to 1–2 years’ experience in pharma, healthcare, or B2B sales/support
  • Basic understanding of cardiovascular, renal, or metabolic diseases
  • Experience coordinating events or managing administrative workflows
