Within GBS Commercial Operations (GCO), the Commercial Reporting & Analytics (CRA) team provides scaled, operational reporting and analytics capabilities and services to the commercial business units. Partnering closely with Commercial Insight and Analytics teams and Commercial IT the team build, run and evolve capabilities in line with business needs.
The Reporting & Analytics Manager is responsible for supporting the reporting and performance management efforts associated with the Global Commercial business. They will help enable the next generation of data products and analytics platforms to drive superior and dynamic performance management. This role will require business partnership across the enterprise with multiple stakeholders within Insights & Analytics and beyond including Global and Local brand insight teams, Commercial Operations, IT, and Senior Leaders.
As Reporting & Analytics Manager, you will partner closely with commercial insight teams, commercial operations, IT and senior leaders to define the key business questions, shape the metrics and indicators that matter, and deploy next-generation data products and dashboards. AccountabilitiesPatient Performance Data Ownership: Lead the ingestion and management of patient performance data for global reporting, ensuring data quality, consistency and scalable, automated pipelines.
Data Product Development: Co-create and evolve commercial data products focused on brand and patient performance, aligning features and metrics with clearly defined business questions.
Unified Platform Build: Help lead the build and deployment of a unified Data & Analytics Platform that enables faster, more reliable insights across markets and therapeutic areas.
Requirements Translation: Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications for delivery teams, acting as the connective tissue between onshore stakeholders and offshore delivery teams.
Scaled Reporting and Dashboards: Design and deliver performance-management reports that move from insight to action, enhancing decision-making for commercial leaders and brand teams.
Advanced Analytics Support: Develop analytical approaches to address ad hoc needs, drawing on secondary data and industry knowledge to inform strategy and resource allocation.
Continuous Improvement: Embed a test-and-learn culture to automate workflows, reduce manual effort and enhance speed to insight, while maintaining rigour and compliance.
External Scanning: Monitor emerging reporting, analytics and data practices within and beyond the pharmaceutical industry, finding opportunities to strengthen our capabilities.
Storytelling and Influence: Summarise and present findings through clear narratives and visualisations, influencing cross-functional stakeholders at multiple levels.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with global commercial reporting and data-management teams to drive consistent standards, reuse and the sharing of best practice.
At least three years’ analytical experience, including the application of advanced analytics techniques. Basic experience with SQL and Python, together with experience building, deploying and embedding capabilities within an organisation.
At least two years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a track record of influencing decisions relating to major drivers of product success, advising on drug-development candidate processes and understanding the broader healthcare environment.
At least two years’ experience using a range of analytics and standard pharmaceutical-industry data sources, such as IQVIA data, including MIDAS, DDD, NPA, Monthly Xponent, Telomera, claims and/or EMR data, and epidemiological data.
Exceptional business acumen, strategic thinking and understanding of sales and marketing practices.
An entrepreneurial mentality, with the ability to influence leadership and demonstrate high emotional intelligence.
A strong ability to influence stakeholders both laterally and vertically.
A high degree of creativity and innovation in developing new approaches, processes and methodologies.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, as well as experience with Power BI and Power Apps.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
An advanced degree or equivalent experience, such as a PhD, MBA or master’s degree in a relevant area, including engineering, statistics or decision sciences.
Experience co-ordinating or leading offshore delivery teams and vendors.
Experience with automated data ingestion and pipeline orchestration within modern data stacks.
