R2R Lease Senior Team Lead

Global Business Services (GBS) is the heart of the AZ Finance function. We are accountable for the design and delivery of high quality, simple to operate transactional finance processes which, combined with outstanding business analysis and insight, enables our customers to focus on AZ’s strategic priorities.
Our remit covers record to report, procure to pay and order to cash, tax, planning & forecasting and management reporting, to customers across AZ Globally in Commercial, Science, Operations & Enabling Functions, Tax, Treasury and Group Finance. AstraZeneca’s Finance function is continuing its transformation journey with the objective of delivering excellence in financial operations.
Role Summary
You will be responsible to lead, motivate and develop members of the R2R Global Lease Team, ensuring that the team operates to the highest standards of financial control, compliance and best practice, ensure quality and accurate delivery of services within agreed key performance indicators (KPIs) and as defined in the Service Level Agreement (SLA), develop knowledge and capability in team members to raise competence to expected levels to meet current and future business needs and contribute process and technical expertise to process improvement initiatives as outlined in R2R scorecard.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver professional and consistent service to global customers.
Manage the development and performance of the Global Lease team to achieve efficient processing and effective team working.
Ensure adequate resource planning to maintain acceptable service levels.
Drive development & changes in systems and process improvement initiatives outlined in the R2R scorecard.
Ownership of SOX/FCF Controls and ensure full compliance.
Review and approve transactions, entries, reconciliations and reports within specified timelines.
Review KPI metrics and provide commentaries & root cause analysis where required.
Lead in issue resolution on BAU operational matters.
Build and sustain effective relationships with various stakeholders to deliver performance and implement best practices.
Review and approve statutory audit reporting requirements.
Continuously identify opportunities for standardization and simplification, fostering efficiency and streamlined operations.
Essential Requirements
Minimum 8 years of Accounting & Finance work experience, including a minimum of 4 years of managing a team.
Degree in Accounting & Finance or equivalent Professional Qualification eg: ACCA/CIMA/CPA
Knowledge and experience in SAP.
Shared service centre working experience across a global organization is an added advantage.
English proficiency, both verbal and written, with the confidence to express clear opinions and ability to explain financial issues to global stakeholders.
High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to deadlines and control standards.
Experience in designing, developing & delivery of data-driven analytics solution using business intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Power Automate, Power App is a plus.
