O2C Team Lead (Sales Order & Billing)

Global Finance Services (GFS) is the heart of the AZ Finance function. We are accountable for the design and delivery of high quality, simple to operate transactional finance processes which, combined with outstanding business analysis and insight, enables our customers to focus on AZ’s strategic priorities.
Our remit covers record to report, procure to pay and order to cash, tax, planning & forecasting and management reporting, to customers across AZ Globally in Commercial, Science, Operations & Enabling Functions, Tax, Treasury and Group Finance. We are continuing our transformation journey with the objective of delivering excellence in financial operations.
Report directly to O2C Team Manager, you will be leading a team of 8 headcounts to ensure efficiency for sales order and billing processing and compliant with policies and quality standard. You will work closely with customers, the business and across the Finance functions to manage the processes and also drive standardization and process improvement projects with the global team.
Main duties and responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day and month end closing activities performed by the team to ensure timely and accurate service delivery for SO & Billing processes in accordance to the defined SLAs/ KPIs
Ensure accurate and timely monthly revenue reporting and reconciliation.
Collaborate within sub-function teams to ensure smooth end-to-end process in O2C.
Set team goals and manage team performance. Ensuring team engagement and employees development.
Driving processes standardization and process improvement in collaboration with other teams. Possess continuous improvement mindset, coach team to identify and implement improvement initiatives.
Effective communication and strong collaboration with stakeholders at different level to achieve company objectives. Possess good influencing and conflict management skill.
Sharing best practice and provide support/ guidance to local business partners.
Develop and ensure good knowledge management and back-up processes for knowledge retention and business continuity.
Ensure SO and Billing processes are in compliance with company policy, the accounting standards, and local statutory requirements.
Support the implementation of global initiatives and project migration.
Essential requirements
Bachelor Degree in Accounting/ Financial/ Business or equivalent
5 years of relevant working experience in Finance/ Accounting sector, preferably in a global business
2 or 3 years of direct people management. Ability to develop and coach team member
Experience of working as business partner at a management level to drive operational performance and people agenda
Strong knowledge of Sales Order and Billing process, has experience in project management
Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skill
Self-driven and independent to drive improvements within the organization
Knowledge of SAP will be a plus
