Introduction to role:

Are you ready to lead and coordinate financial planning, management reporting, and analytics for multiple products and therapeutic areas? As the Director of US Commercial Financial Planning & Analysis, you'll drive financial demand forecasts, optimize resources, and explore business investment opportunities. This role is pivotal in crafting strategic decisions and ensuring the financial health of our operations.

Accountabilities:

  • Be an integral member of therapeutic area leadership teams, serving as their business partner for all financial management issues.

  • Partner with key support functions to lead operating expenses effectively.

  • Provide strategic focus to Business Unit Leaders on key business decisions, emphasizing sales optimization and sustained growth.

  • Ensure sales and expense forecasts are achievable and supported by valid assumptions.

  • Establish and supervise financial goals and objectives, providing vital adjustments.

  • Work closely with teams to complete business planning cycles and implement strategic plans.

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes with associated analysis and reporting.

  • Present forecasts, performance, and potential risks/opportunities to the US Leadership Team.

  • Drive continuous improvement in Finance processes and capabilities.

  • Lead business case analysis for investment opportunities.

  • Proactively understand future financial information needs and produce efficient solutions.

  • Lead, mentor, and provide strategic direction for a team passionate about Revenue/Demand Forecasting and OpEx management.

  • Drive cost consciousness with business customers and identify cost savings opportunities.

  • Liaise with onshore and offshore teams to support business priorities.

  • Ensure compliance with sound financial principles.

  • Participate in and lead ad hoc projects as needed.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting with 10+ years of related work experience in accounting, finance, or business analysis, including five in the pharmaceutical industry

  • Experience in a brand leadership role and/or dealing with senior management

  • Ability to exercise good judgment and draw conclusions from less than certain data

  • Finance Business Partnering skills – ability to engage with non-finance professionals and distil sophisticated financial viewpoints

  • Knowledge of the US operating model

  • Excellent PC skills including SAP, Qlik, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Strong analytical ability and demonstrated strategic influencing skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a teamwork-focused environment

  • Ability to work as a change agent in a dynamic work environment

  • Confidence in working with senior management

  • High degree of accuracy with attention to detail

  • Capacity to lead multiple changing priorities effectively

  • Capability to meet strict deadlines with ownership and urgency

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • MBA in Finance

  • Brand knowledge and experience

  • Demonstrated strong upward career trajectory with drive, ambition, and good judgment

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $144,447 to $216,671. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
