Introduction to role :
If the possibilities of science spark your curiosity, this Territory Business Manager role offers the chance to turn that curiosity into real impact. AstraZeneca is driven by a clear purpose: transform scientific ideas into medicines that change lives. Here, unexpected teams come together – from scientists and medical experts to commercial and field colleagues – all focused-on meeting unmet patient needs. In this role, territory insight, customer engagement and scientific understanding combine to shape prescribing decisions and support better outcomes.
Accountabilities :
As Territory Business Manager, the focus is on driving performance across an assigned geography while building trusted, long-term relationships with healthcare professionals and institutions. Day to day, this means implementing agreed sales strategies and plans of action, closely tracking territory performance and taking swift steps where needed.
The role leads the enlistment of new and priority products in hospitals and clinics, ensuring access and visibility at the right time. Market and competitor analysis will guide decisions, helping to uncover new business opportunities and inform promotional activities that raise product awareness. Maintaining accurate customer classification, databases and call records is essential to targeted engagement.
Acting with professionalism and integrity in line with the AstraZeneca Code of Conduct, the role also involves actively identifying personal development needs and working with the First Line Sales Manager to build future capability.
Essential Skills/Experience :
Graduate degree in Science/Pharma
Passion for Sales
Interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills
