Our position

Reporting to the Franchise Head, Respiratory Biologics Alliance, the Senior Marketing Manager (SMM) – will be a key leader in building and executing world-class strategic plans for a novel biologic treatment for Canadian patients diagnosed with Severe Asthma. Based on an extensive understanding of the market, the incumbent will take a leadership role in defining the vision and strategic/ tactical plans in partnership with senior cross-functional team leads.

The successful candidate for this role will be an entrepreneurial leader with a passion for customer engagement and putting patients first.  You play to win but do the right thing and act with integrity, even when it is difficult. 

Your role in helping us achieve our leadership ambition will be to:

  • Lead the cross-functional team to achieve excellence; you will continue to have accountability to maximize the forward-thinking potential of the brand through cross-functional development and execution of the Brand Strategy, Positioning, Segmentation and Operational Plans
  • Lead and empower the growth and development of a marketing manager as a people leader
  • Be a digital leader empowering the brand team to improve omni and channel marketing, using the latest innovations to build the best customer experience with your patient-centric approach
  • Work collaboratively with the Patient Value, Access and Policy Team and partner with the Patient Centre of Excellence Team to deliver patient support program that provides outstanding patient care
  • Build a best in class commercial organization to become a respected leader in pharmaceutical industry and the respiratory therapeutic area while cultivating an inclusive high-performance environment that values and leverages diversity
  • Collect and report Adverse Events in accordance with AstraZeneca policies and procedures
  • Working within our AZ/Amgen Alliance structure to further foster collaboration and drive the success of our franchise.

Qualifications

  • University degree in science and/or business
  • Specialty care Marketing experience is preferred, respiratory therapeutic area expertise an asset
  • Launch experience in a biologics market preferred
  • Business Acumen: strong strategic thinking and planning skills with ability to implement plans with excellence
  • Embraces an agile mindset to develop necessary processes to ensure consistent deliverables. Knows how to organize people and activities effectively to achieve impactful outcomes
  • Experience building and executing digital strategies including omnichannel
  • Experienced collaborator with inclusive leadership style and proven ability to work successfully within a diverse team
  • Proven strong influencing skills and communication skills
  • Financial acumen: capable of driving and managing budget responsibilities and strongly contributing to forecasting assumptions and exercises
