Senior Manager, Forecasting - Oncology (Contract)

As Senior Manager, Forecasting – Oncology, you will:
Strategic leadership: Own the end‑to‑end forecast for your franchise (brand or tumor area), combining deep data analysis with patient‑flow and epidemiology expertise to inform investment and execution.
Performance frameworks: Establish and refine KPIs and performance measurement, turning signals into actions through monthly outlooks, risks/opportunities, and executive‑ready narratives.
Executive thought partnership: Synthesize market, customer, and internal data into concise recommendations for senior leadership; challenge assumptions constructively to sharpen decisions.
Scenario and sensitivity analysis: Lead scenario libraries, Monte Carlo and sensitivity analyses to anticipate risks and unlock opportunities across the Oncology portfolio.
Cross‑functional orchestration: Build strong partnerships with Oncology Brand Teams, Finance BPs, Commercial, Pricing & Market Access, Medical, HEOR, Supply/IBP, Global OBU Forecasting/Insights, and Alliance Management to align assumptions and actions.
Business cases: Co‑lead comprehensive investment cases (launch readiness, indication expansions, access initiatives, lifecycle management), grounded in integrated evidence and market dynamics.
Digital and AI adoption: Champion modern forecasting technologies and AI‑enabled workflows to increase capacity, speed, and auditability without compromising quality.
Talent development: Mentor and elevate forecasting and performance talent; foster an inclusive, curious, and accountable team culture.
Essential Skills/Experience
Education: Advanced degree in Science (PhD, MSc, MBiotech, or similar), Health Economics, MBA, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in forecasting, analytics, or finance (preferably in the pharmaceutical industry), with demonstrated impact in strategic analysis and team leadership.
Strategic and Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze complex data, identify strategic insights, and communicate recommendations to senior leadership.
Leadership: Proven leadership skills with experience in managing impactful teams. Strong capability in mentoring, developing talent, and fostering an inclusive and collaborative team environment.
Communication Skills: Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to simplify sophisticated information for a variety of audiences.
Critical Thinking and Planning: Advanced critical thinking and planning skills, with a keen ability to challenge the status quo and drive innovative solutions.
Adaptability and Prioritization: Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment, aligning team efforts with business objectives.
Desirable Skills/Experience
Oncology impact: Strategic leadership influencing patient outcomes and commercial success in Oncology.
Integrated insights exposure: Experience spanning forecasting, analytics, and best practices from global teams and alliances.

Annual base salary for this position ranges from 134,708.00 to 176,804.25.AstraZeneca is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues. Our compensation policies and practices have been designed to allow colleagues to progress through the salary range over time as they progress in their role. The range provided in this posting represents an offer pay range used in a majority of situations. The base pay offered will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs. In some cases, offers outside the range may also be considered to address unique circumstances.
In addition, our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (if applicable to role). Benefits offered for permanent roles include a competitive Flex Benefits & Retirement Savings Program, 4 weeks’ paid vacation, and annual Personal Days. Fixed Term Contract/Temporary positions (excluding students) are offered a Contract Benefits Program.
