About Global Patient Solutions
Within Global Patient Solutions, you will help build and maintain the foundational systems, governance frameworks, and AI‑enabled capabilities that ensure our patient‑solution models deliver high‑quality, compliant, scalable, and measurable improvements in patient care across Oncology and Biopharmaceutical indications.
Operating within AstraZeneca’s connected Enterprise AI ecosystem, you will enable the safe and effective scaling of Connect360 and related Patient Solutions by strengthening the data, governance, omnichannel, digital health, and operational backbone required to deliver empathetic, timely, and clinically relevant support at scale.
This role complements the Strategy & Value position by ensuring the rigor, consistency, and technical enablement needed to turn strategy into sustainable enterprise capabilities.
Ultimately, you will help build a global, multi‑indication patient‑engagement engine that is trustworthy, compliant, data‑driven, omnichannel‑ready, and continuously learning—elevating the standard of patient experience and strengthening patient care.
Role Purpose
Governance& AI Enablement
You will own the patient governance, compliance, data, AI‑enablement, and omnichannel execution frameworks that ensure Patient Solutions and Connect360 are delivered with quality, accountability, and measurable value across global markets.
What you´ll do
Establish and lead global patient governance & alignment with compliance frameworks for all Patient Solutions
Lead data, insights, and evidence foundations to support decision making and optimization
Own the impact measurement and optimization ecosystem, ensuring all programs deliver tangible value
Guide the patient program & asset creation and lifecycle management, ensuring quality, reusability, and compliance
Strengthen the patient omnichannel enablement, ensuring patient journeys and interactions are orchestrated seamlessly across channels
Translate patient solution business requirements into operational, digital, and technical specifications
Lead all aspects of agency and vendor management to ensure high quality content, execution, and operational excellence
Provide the governance and frameworks vital for the safe scaling of AI‑enabled engagement, monitoring, and personalization
Partner with members of our organization to scouting, triage and select partners for solutions delivery
This role ensures AstraZeneca’s Patient Solutions evolve as trusted, compliant, data‑driven, and globally scalable capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Governance, Compliance & Quality
Lead global governance for Connect360 and Patient Solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory, PSP, data‑privacy, and patient‑safety requirements
Define and maintain process, quality standards, and accountability frameworks across markets
Establish governance needed for safe, responsible scaling of AI-enabled patient engagement
2. Data, Insights & Real‑World Evidence
Build and maintain data foundations to support monitoring, risk‑signal detection, and engagement optimization
Lead evidence and data frameworks to quantify patient experience, adherence/persistence, and care-quality impact
Partner with Digital, Data Science, and BI teams to ensure insights are accurate, actionable, and compliant
3. Impact Measurement & Optimization
Develop measurement frameworks, KPIs, and dashboards across patient experience, engagement, and outcomes
Drive continuous improvement through insights, experimentation, and optimization cycles
Provide clear recommendations to product, design, franchise, and market teams
4. Omnichannel Enablement
Ensure Patient Solutions and Connect360 assets are designed for omnichannel orchestration and consistent experience across touchpoints
Work with marketing and brand teams to ensure coherence across digital, human, and hybrid interactions
Translate engagement strategy into technical and operational channel execution requirements
5. Program & Asset Creation + Management
Lead creation, standardization, and governance of global patient support assets, workflows, and content models
Ensure assets are reusable, scalable, compliant, and ready for market adoption
Manage agency partners to deliver high-quality content and solutions aligned to GPS standards
6. Project & Asset Lifecycle Management
Oversee full lifecycle from design → validation → deployment → updating
Ensure global patient programs and assets maintain ongoing quality, currency, and performance
Partner with markets to ensure successful adoption, localization, and optimization
7. AI & Digital Health Enablement
Collaborate to shape AI patient solutions governance, validation frameworks, and operational readiness
Ensure patients facing AI solutions are safe, compliant, and grounded in quality evidence
Monitor emerging digital health opportunities and translate them into patient solution business requirements
MinimumRequirements
Degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Digital Health, Marketing, communications or related field
Experience with Biopharmaceutical and/or Oncology indications
Strong background in patient solutions, PSP operations, patient engagement, or digital health execution
Experience work with governance, compliance, quality assurance, or risk management within healthcare
Experience work with data analysis, insights generation, RWE, or measurement frameworks
Understanding of omnichannel engagement and digital‑health ecosystems
Ability to translate business needs into technical, operational, or digital requirements
Experience managing agencies, vendors, or cross-functional execution partners
Strong program or project lifecycle experience in global or multi market environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AI governance, responsible AI frameworks, or AI‑enabled patient-engagement technologies
Understanding of global healthcare systems, data‑privacy regulations, and market compliance models
Experience building dashboards, KPIs, or optimization frameworks
Experience developing or managing omnichannel journeys, digital content models, or activation plans
Background in marketing, digital strategy, or customer‑experience design
Ability to create enterprise‑level reusable assets and capability frameworks
Strong ability to synthesize complex cross
In addition, our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (if applicable to role). Annual base salary for this position ranges from 143.854,40 to 188.808,90.AstraZeneca is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues.
