Our R&I Biometrics team is dedicated to the development of innovative treatment of Respiratory and Immunology (R&I) diseases. You will join a global, diverse and cross-functional environment where you will get personal and professional development.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

In this role, we will give you will direct the preparation of data-driven insights for business decision makers to help develop business intelligence, optimize effectiveness and/or predict business outcomes. The role will drive the analysis of data to support the process they are enabling through the identification, analysis and interpretation of trends or patterns and prepare ongoing reports and data visualizations to aid in complex data storytelling. The role may coordinate the creation, maintenance and/or improvement of exploratory and predictive analytics statistical models for ongoing and ad hoc review and analysis of data.

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinate the implementation of analytical and data visualization solutions designed to drive the interrogation of datasets for insights in scientific and business application areas within defined project scope. Solutions may employ the use of dedicated business intelligence applications and/or cloud services but may also maximise the reporting capabilities of existing software enterprise solutions and/or database software vendors and analytical software such as R, Python, and others.  These solutions may also require exploratory and predictive analytic statistical models for ongoing and ad hoc review and analysis of data.

  • Coordinate the translation of business problems into the appropriate analytics problem and solutions in the project scope

  • Clearly and objectively communicate results, as well as their associated uncertainties and limitations

  • Provide expertise in exploratory, descriptive and predictive data analytics to cross-functional projects and shape delivery of solutions that drive business value

  • Develop visualizations and tools to support and deliver innovative and complex analytical solutions

  • Review and develop working practices to ensure that work is delivered to robust quality standards within defined scope

  • Develop, implement and maintain required tools in a manner which meets regulatory and evidential requirements, within the project scope

  • Leads small (2-3 person) projects of defined scope

Essential Requirements:

You are focused on solving challenging problems through collaboration and partnerships. You are a specialist in your field, or aspire to be a specialist, and you know that the best results are achieved by utilising the strengths of every individual.

  • Bachelors Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent years of experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of data analytic and Business Intelligence tools such as R, Python, Tableau, Power BI or QlikView and/or experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, and Power Automate

  • Familiarity with database systems (eg SQL, NoSQL, graph)

  • Advanced ability to draw conclusions from data and present in a succinct fashion to stakeholders

  • Demonstrated experience in the complex analysis of data in applied business and/or scientific application domains

  • Software development skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, business analysis, and consultancy skills

  • Good understanding of at least one business area where the data science is applied.

Desirable for the Role:

  • Masters Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.

  • Comfortable working in high performance computing or cloud environment

  • Experience in life sciences and healthcare
