Introduction to Role:
We are seeking a Senior Counsel with a strong background in technology, digital, and privacy work to support our global Evinova Business. This role offers a unique opportunity to partner with new customers, serve our patients, and meet our revenue target. Based in Macclesfield, UK, this position reports to the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer and will work independently directly with the Evinova LT and wider business.
Accountabilities:
As a Senior Counsel, you will be responsible for all customer and supplier facing transactions covering all Evinova products and services. The focus of the customer work is software as a service (SaaS) deals, but the position requires a versatile commercial counsel who can cover a variety of general services and health care professional contracting arrangements, including privacy advice.
Crucial Skills/Experience:
Meaningful legal practice experience, particularly in technology, digital and IT related matters
Experience advising on US contracts
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to explain sophisticated legal issues in an easy to understand manner
Business oriented and pragmatic approach to problem solving
Skill in analyzing and solving issues related to a wide variety of substantive legal areas
Ability to work independently and comfortable operating in ambiguity in a fast paced work environment
Pharmaceutical or other regulated validated experience helpful
Experience working in-house in both a start-up and a multinational company
Data privacy experience
Experience supporting software as a medical device (SaMD) deals
Experience supporting a Global Procurement organisation
Experience working with English law contracts and common law jurisdictions
