Head of Business Operations & Transformation (IGNITE)

As the Head of Business Operations & Transformation within the Insights & Technology Excellence (IGNITE) organization, you will play a pivotal role in aligning enterprise products and services that enable data and analytics, technology innovation, enterprise architecture, application integration, and digital services. 

Accountabilities:


In this role, you will guide and develop a multi-year strategy and drive planning and excellent execution of the IGNITE enterprise capabilities in support of business outcomes. You will lead efficiency targets across the organization, and ensure overall financial goals are met while improving business outcomes. This role will establish a quarterly cadence for reviewing and managing challenges and risk across all product and service teams to ensure standard methodologies in service excellence.

Essential Skills/Experience:


- Experience in program and portfolio management processes in a complex, regulated, global environment
- Extensive experience of working in multi-layered teams in a global environment
- Experience operating in complex, large, matrixed IT organisations.
- Experience of working with senior leaders, including VP level, to support strategic business performance optimisation
- Experience building and implementing effective transition plans to required targets
- Understanding of portfolio management concepts
- Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and contracting concepts / processes
- Solid understanding of deploying goals and achievements/KPIs metrics for enhanced business performance and utilising benchmarking for effective target setting
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and multiple leadership layers to develop critical business outcomes
- Ability to influence and challenge at a senior level and communicate complex issues in a simple and effective manner
- Effective analytical skills to find opportunities for performance improvement and enhanced business/ways of working agility – including within portfolio and performance domains
- Knowledge of transformation delivery approaches and methods, including Agile and waterfall and the relative pros and cons when using those and other methods 
- Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Effective networker able to form effective working relationships at various levels and with different partner groups to address specific issues and/or deliver outcomes in a complex environment
- Knowledge of digital trends and ways of working
- Record of accomplishment in building strong and credible relationships and with key senior partners 

Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Pharmaceutical industry experience
- Portfolio management, business performance, annual budget planning, and strategy development experience
- IT service strategy and service management experience
- Involvement in pharma thought leadership networks and organisations
- Certified Agile / lean/ six sigma professional, with applied experience. 
- Experience operating in pharma/highly regulated industries
