Business Decision Architect
Introduction to role
Pharmaceutical Technology and Development (PT&D) turns brilliant science into medicines that reach millions of patients. Working across the value chain, PT&D designs and delivers active ingredients, formulations and devices for new medicines, and provides expert technical support to AstraZeneca’s commercial products to ensure reliable supply. Within this, Clinical Manufacturing & Supply (CM&S) is looking for a Business Decision Architect to shape decision-centric digital products that improve reliability, productivity and waste reduction across the clinical portfolio. Ready to help deliver medicines to patients faster and support our Bold Ambition of 20 new medicines by 2030?
Accountabilities
In this role, lead feasibility assessments and define user requirement specifications that enable data-driven decision-making in clinical supply chains, directly influencing reliability, productivity and waste reduction.
You will engage with stakeholders across clinical supply to uncover objectives, problems and decision contexts, then translate these into clear, testable and prioritised digital product requirements and user stories aligned with strategic outcomes.
Through owning end-to-end business analysis that connects objectives, hypotheses, data, insights, decisions and outcomes, you'll craft compelling narratives that inform digital product design and producing reports and visualisations that drive action and adoption.
Collaborating closely with Data Governance to embed data quality, lineage and compliance into every product, we'll need you to work with Data Product teams to shape reusable data assets, and with Business Process Leads to integrate solutions into operational workflows and realise measurable business outcomes.
You'll coordinate the creation, maintenance and enhancement of digital products supporting prioritised use cases from the CI intake process, overseeing integration, governance and lifecycle management to sustain performance and adoption.
Operating with a high degree of autonomy across multiple concurrent agile projects, orchestrating people, process, data and technology requirements from MVP through iterative releases.
We'll expect you to provide coaching, task management and best-practice guidance to other Business Decision Architects, Decision Intelligence Developers and Business Process Leads across multiple functions.
Exploit the latest technology and AI to build predictive and prescriptive recommendations that equip teams with timely insights, guided decisions and embedded actions to meet challenging Clinical Supply Chain objectives.
How will your decision architecture unlock smarter, faster clinical supply?
