We are now seeking a Scientific Communication & Medical Information Specialist to join our Global Business Services (GBS) team in Lisbon. This is an exciting opportunity to transform your scientific expertise into impactful medical content that supports healthcare professionals and improves patient outcomes worldwide.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop, review, and maintain high-quality scientific and medical communications materials across multiple formats
  • Deliver accurate, balanced, and evidence-based responses to medical information inquiries from healthcare professionals

  • Conduct literature searches and critically evaluate scientific evidence
  • Perform medical accuracy reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance
  • Create a variety of deliverables, including:
    • Scientific slide decks and presentations
    • Training materials and internal education content

    • Speaker materials and engagement content
    • Materials supporting MSL and Regional Medical Affairs (RMA) engagements
    • Post-congress reports and insights summaries
    • Disease state education and reactive medical information materials
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align content with strategic and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Support the adoption of digital tools, AI, and new technologies in content creation and delivery
  • Lead or contribute to key workstreams and projects across medical communications and innovation

Essential Skills & Experience:

    • Medical information
    • Medical writing or related roles within pharma, biotech, or healthcare
  • Strong experience in medical communications content development, including:

    • Slide decks
    • Training materials
    • Scientific communication assets
    • External and internal engagement materials
  • Proven ability to:

    • Interpret and analyse scientific literature
    • Translate complex data into clear, accurate messaging
    • Deliver high-quality content to diverse audiences
  • Strong communication, organisational, and project management skills

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across global teams

  • Proficiency with digital tools and content platforms

  • Understanding of regulatory, legal, and compliance standards within Medical Affairs

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience developing digital scientific content or content strategies
  • Exposure to AI or technology-enabled content development tools
  • Experience supporting MSL or Medical Affairs teams
  • Experience mentoring or guiding others (for more senior profiles)
  • Prior experience in global or multi-regional environments

Ways of Working:

We believe innovation happens when we collaborate in person. This role follows a hybrid working model, with an expectation to work from the office at least three days per week, while maintaining flexibility to support individual needs.
