S/4HANA Project Manager
Location: Lisbon

The Axial Programme will be powered by S/4HANA a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system which will be implemented right across the organisation and will provide our business with standardised processes, enhanced financial management, common data and real time reporting, transforming the way we work through our entire supply chain - from bench to patient.
The new system will be used by more than 20,000 employees daily, is foundational to all AZ entities and is central to most core business processes. This is a once in a generation programme for AstraZeneca and will shape our ways of working globally for many years to come.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The S/4HANA Project Manager will work in collaboration with Global Business lead for Operations and the Enterprise process owners and leaders for one of the following:
Order and Distribution to Cash
Production to Dispatch Door
Network Strategy and Supply Chain Planning
Procurement and Material Management
Your role will be to coordinate, manage and be accountable for timely delivery for the operations functional area through the project lifecycle through project delivery methodology including risk, planning, reporting and financial management.
Working with a global team of S/4HANA experts, Subject matter experts (including third party partners), you will need to ensure all aspects of the full project delivery lifecycle are delivered in a timely manner, with relevant interdependencies / interlocks accounted for and risks/issues managed and controlled.
You will represent your projects and seek sign off to proceed at regular project control boards to demonstrate progress to plan, work product completion, landmarks achieved within budget tolerance.
As a PM you will be experienced in agile delivery and some experience /awareness with SAP Activate methodology.
You will report operationally to your assigned function lead but will be “homed” in a pool of experienced Axial Project Managers where experience, ways of working and skills can be shared, and your career ambitions handled to allow you to gain exposure, experience and education is other areas of the Axial Programme.
You will report into the Head of the PMO to ensure good working practices and governance and maybe required to report up into programme leaders to account for your project’s delivery. You should demonstrate enhanced communication skills, with a strong sense of delivery, outcome and results driven with excellent attention to detail.
This is a fast paced demanding environment that requires the Functional Lead to have a collaborative approach and know how develop and work with successful teams.
TYPICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Manage cross-Functional, complex projects that often carry high risk and experience some ambiguity in mobilising; you will utilise your project management experience to work with the business to establish strong and aligned project baselines. You will typically manage projects that are directly connected to and visible to Senior Leaders, delivering >$5-20m to the organisation in terms of benefits.
Be customer-centric and hold accountability for iterating the service within your team; encouraging teamwork and collaboration.
You will define, implement, and drive project governance across a complex stakeholder landscape
You will capture and understand scope and requirements and understand the importance of gaining business sign off before moving to design, particularly amongst key partners which sometimes don’t have clear ownership for all aspects of project scope.
You will ensure change management is considered from the outset of the project and working closely with design as they create the solution.
You will work with the Workstream Leads to create and implement complex and consolidated project and programme plans where appropriate and revise them as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements to ensure landmarks are met effectively and efficiently
Identify actions needed to progress plans and assign individual responsibilities; driving accountability for completion
Maintain relationships with workstream leads and key business partners to ensure that business requirements are effectively captured and the impact of the project are understood by the business.
Adhere to the Enterprise PMO project management delivery methodology
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Bachelor’s Degree
Significant experience in programme/project management for large, complex projects
Desirable: experience in SAP project delivery with S/4HANA insight
Experience in S/4HANA operational / business project delivery
Experience of managing projects in a global organization.
Demonstration of strong, communication and relationship building skills with experience in collaborating and sharing knowledge between teams
Experience considering risks, evaluating alternatives, and encouraging input from others to effectively make decisions and plan mitigation tactics
Comfortable and skilled in operating in a complex operational matrix organization across diverse, global teams
Ability to clearly articulate sophisticated concepts to ensure understanding and alignment
Ability to interpret unstructured information into business requirements
Ability to perform effectively when faced with unclear solutions or opposing viewpoints
Ability to effectively lead a team involving multiple business areas and diverse team member experience levels
Experience in relationship management, across both relationship development, maintenance, and ability to understand internal political influence
Demonstrated track record in delivering high-risk projects
Excellent business engagement and business sense with sensitivity to internal and external political/economic environment
Experience of controlling a project budget
Significant experience and skills presenting in front of C-suite/executive level clients through written and verbal channels
