Junior Commercial Data Steward

Introduction to Role:

Are you ready to play a central role in powering the global enterprise? As a Junior Commercial Data Steward, you will support a Commercial Data Steward in ensuring the fitness and use of one or more data sets. You will contribute to the quality and integrity of commercial data through assisting with the development and embedding of standards, monitoring of data quality, resolution of data issues and oversight of data management practices. Accountabilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance of documented standards for relevant data objects, design and documentation of data processes, and representation of the Commercial Data Steward in some forums. You will provide direction for the market data champions and business users to ensure standards are embedded and followed. You will also administer the data quality dashboards and monitoring tools, direct initiatives to cleanse and improve data, and maintain the data object issue and risk registers.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of working with data analytics or data governance
  • Experience in the analysis, maintenance and cleansing of large data sets
  • Strong engagement, communication and partner management skills, including excellent organisational, presentation and influencing skills
  • A ‘Can do’ attitude to understanding data issues, the impact and proactively inspiring change.
  • High level of proficiency with common business applications (Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint & SAP business user)

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of working with commercial data and systems (Veeva, Reltio, SAP) and consumption
  • Experience of working in a global organisation with complex/geographical context
  • Pharmaceutical business awareness/business domain knowledge
