Responsibilities
Are you ready to turn commercial data into decisions that expand access for patients with complex, underserved conditions? In this role, you will lead a focused analytics team that powers market strategy, portfolio choices, and field effectiveness for therapies that make a tangible difference. Your leadership ensures our stakeholders have clear, consistent, decision-ready insight at the moment it matters.
Competition is intensifying and healthcare budgets are tighter than ever. We move with vitality, and your ability to align stakeholders, elevate analytic rigor, and standardize critical metrics will accelerate how we act on evidence. Accountabilities
- Team leadership: Supervise analytics/consulting teams, set priorities, allocate resources, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery across cross-functional initiatives.
- Coaching and development: Provide performance feedback, skills development, and career progression support; build a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
- Stakeholder partnership: Manage senior stakeholders, translate complex analyses into clear recommendations, and align teams on objectives and success metrics.
- Analytics delivery: Guide the design and execution of commercial analyses, dashboards, and reports using best-practice methodologies and robust QA.
- Data quality and governance: Establish and enforce data standards, validation processes, and documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
- Tools and automation: Oversee development of scalable reporting and analytics solutions in Power BI/Excel/SQL (Snowflake preferred), with Python/VBA as appropriate.
- Program management: Manage multiple priorities, dependencies, and timelines; resolve risks and issues rapidly; track impact and return on investment of analytics outputs.
- AI enablement: Introduce and govern the use of AI and ML-enabled analytics to enhance requirements capture, insight generation, and process optimization.
- Communication: Create and deliver concise narratives and exec-ready materials; ensure insights are actionable and embedded in decision-making.
- Regional collaboration: Operate effectively across markets and functions; support travel needs and on-the-ground stakeholder engagement as required.
Essential skills/Experience
- Leadership experience: 5+ years supervising analytics/consultant teams and coordinating cross-functional delivery in pharma/biotech or related industries.
- People development: Demonstrated coaching and mentoring capability, including performance feedback, skills-building, and career progression support.
- Stakeholder management: Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Technical toolkit: Proficiency with Power BI, Excel, and SQL; Snowflake preferred; familiarity with Python and/or VBA is a plus.
- Quality and governance: Rigorous approach to data quality, standards, and documentation; proven track record to prioritise and deadlines.
- Language and travel: Fluency in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus. Willingness to travel up to 10-15%.
Desirable skills/Experience
- Advanced education or equivalent experience: Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Biotechnology).
- AI proficiency: Ability to use AI tools (e.g., generative AI, machine learning–enabled analytics) to enhance analysis and process efficiency.
- Industry nuance: Experience with commercial pharma/biotech datasets, metrics, and operating models across multiple countries or regions.
