What you’ll do

This role supports the Procurement management for Indonesia and Singapore, act as Procurement Business Partner to internal stakeholders to formulate and drive a consistent approach for Procurement End-to-activities within the business according to the Company’s policies and standard operating procedure (SOP). To develop and execute the procurement supply chain rationalization for the assigned market/s through category management, spend analysis, consolidation/streamlining and reduce tail of vendors (eg. Preferred Supplier List).

He/she is responsible for identifying potential supplier sources, tendering, conducting interviews with suppliers, and negotiating favorable contract with the best interest for the Company, and ultimately to ensure that value for money is optimized, cost benefits are generated and to govern the potential risk exposures.

He/she is required to build and maintain strong and collaborative relationship with relevant Business stakeholders, Lead and work closely with all shared service centers, cross functional team within AZ, including Finance and Compliance to manage the Source to Contract, P2P and risk management/compliance processes to optimise support to the Business in the market and to deliver on priorities and local Projects.

Typical Accountabilities

  • Provide support and direction to Business Engagement Owners / requestors on Procurement related matters

  • Understands the business local market demands and plans, project objectives and provide in depth support on more complex activities

  • Ensure the needs of the markets are supported and run relevant country projects

  • Lead and work closely with all shared service centers, cross functional team within AZ to manage the Source to Contract, P2P and risk management/compliance processes

  • Collaborate with Regional Category Team and to bridge the ways of working across the regional / global team

  • Develop and execute the procurement supply chain rationalization for the assigned market/s through category management, spend analysis, consolidation/streamlining and reduce tail of vendors

  • Evaluates market factors influencing the supply market to assist the development of appropriate sourcing plans that shape markets & improves commercial leverage

  • Scrutinizing contracts and negotiate for the best prices for the Company, while remaining fair and professionalism to suppliers

  • Recommend appropriate sourcing strategies for each category to develop Preferred Supplier List

  • Ensures compliance with organizational procedures associated with the sourcing process

  • Deliver benefits within sourcing, cost management, supplier relationship management, supplier development and innovation

  • Support Internal Stakeholder develops appropriate agreements consider short- & long-term implications, advises on contract terms for the supply of goods & services

  • Review process for creating contracts to ensure all legal requirements are compiled with & recommends any required changes with legal, compliance, finance, and relevant function

  • Contributes to the completion of commercial agreements, tracking contract approval & storage

  • Understands basic financial concepts & cost structure to achieve value for money outcomes

  • Manage Supplier to deliver cash generation target

  • Analyses spend through the process of collecting, cleansing, classifying & analyzing expenditure data with the purpose of decreasing procurement costs, improving efficiency, & monitoring compliance

  • Responsible for supplier segmentation, managing suppliers within the segments to ensure that we provide a consistent approach that allows us to manage against key deliverables in the Supplier performance, identify any risks or opportunities with the Supplier and plan the most appropriate way to work with the Supplier to achieve the best partnership result possible for AZ

  • Provide support in governance from supplier Risk assessment and support stakeholder to ensure Suppliers gone through appropriate due diligence process being set up for transaction

  • Manage and develop performance of suppliers

  • Supports on-going change management and continuous improvement and development for functions

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree level or equivalent

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Procurement, with direct stakeholder management

  • Experienced with sourcing and supplier management

  • Strong communication and influencing skills

  • Proven ability to manage change

  • Significant cross-category experience

  • Expert in contract terms and conditions

  • Demonstrated success working in a team environment

  • Strong analytical and financial skills

  • Project and people management

  • Skilful in computer software: Excel, Words, Powerpoint etc

Desirable Requirements:

  • Professional Procurement/Supply Chain Cert is preferred

  • Procurement or Process management experience

  • Detailed & Careful

  • Knowledge of Procurement System preferred
