What you’ll do

As the Launch Excellence & Business Partnerships Manager, you will lead cross-functional launch excellence while ensuring that business operations and collaborations with third parties (e.g., distribution partners) run as per agreed terms. You will partner closely with Marketing, Medical, Access, Sales, SFE, Training, Finance, to plan and execute launches. You will also oversee day-to-day performance and governance of third-party agreements to enable continuity, compliance, and commercial results.

Typical Accountabilities:

Launch Excellence

  • Develop and oversee the cross-functional launch plan, ensuring functional responsibilities are clearly defined and validated by leadership.
  • Partnering with Brand Manager, establish strategic imperatives, align on objectives and key results, and ensure seamless cross-functional coordination.
  • Implement launch governance and ways of working, overseeing overall progress tracking and escalating issues as needed.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators, reporting challenges to launch leadership.
  • Lead and execute strategic projects in new product planning, developing insights into market potential, unmet needs, and go-to-market strategies for new products.
  • Oversee critical processes to ensure successful launches.
  • Develop brand operational plans and account partnership objectives, identifying opportunities and strategic drivers while collaborating with key stakeholders to refine execution plans.
  • Work closely with Sales Leadership and Cross-Functional Teams to set KPIs and track implementation for optimal performance.
  • Ensure compliance with external regulations and internal policies, adhering to AstraZeneca’s Code of Ethics, Global External Interactions Policy, and Privacy Standards, particularly when engaging with patient groups.

Business Partnerships

  • Manage and maintain positive and constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including meeting stakeholders and partners on own or with senior management team.
  • Monitor and report on the performance and progress of business development activities, partnerships, and collaborations, using appropriate metrics and tools.
  • Work closely with business clients to understand their collaboration and needs
  • Manage the evaluation of potential collaboration opportunities (primarily alliances/ collaborations, and licensing/ acquisition deals)

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, preferably an MBA from a reputable university.
  • Proficient in oral and written English communication.
  • Demonstrated success in launch excellence, project management, collaboration, and stakeholder influence.
  • Proven track record of high performance in cross-functional engagement, and strong business acumen.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complexity and demonstrate a high degree of maturity.
  • Must-have skills: data analytics, insight mining, collaboration, organizational ability, strategic mindset, negotiation, and project management.
