What you’ll do

The country Finance Business Partner is a key local role, providing robust and insightful decision support to management team to enable delivery of our financial objectives at both operational and strategic level.  The role involves forecasting, planning and analysis that drive a commercially focused business and promote an optimized and focused performance culture.

Accountabilities

  • Serve as a trusted member of the Country Leadership Team (CLT), providing financial leadership, challenge, and insight to support strategic decision-making and business performance.

  • Partner with business leaders to shape strategy, optimize resource allocation, manage portfolio investments, and identify opportunities to maximize sustainable growth and value creation.

  • Lead the development of financial plans, including Mid-Term Plan (MTP), Budget, Rolling Business Updates (RBU), forecasts, and scenarios, ensuring alignment with market priorities and Area expectations.

  • Drive business performance through proactive analysis of financial and commercial trends, identifying risks, opportunities, and actions required to deliver commitments.

  • Build a deep understanding of the market, portfolio, healthcare environment, and competitive landscape to provide meaningful commercial and financial insights.

  • Influence key business decisions through rigorous evaluation of investments, initiatives, business cases, and trade-offs across functions.

  • Act as both a strategic and analytical partner, seamlessly moving between enterprise-level discussions and detailed analysis to uncover root causes, challenge assumptions, and improve outcomes.

  • Collaborate closely with Area Finance, GFS, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting, planning, and execution.

  • Simplify and continuously improve planning, reporting, and decision-support processes through standardization, automation, and best-practice sharing.

  • Uphold strong financial governance, controls, compliance, and stewardship of company resources.

  • Develop financial acumen across the organization by translating complex financial concepts into clear business insights and actionable recommendations.

  • Foster a high-performance culture by promoting accountability, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making across the market.

Ideal Candidate Profile

A strategic finance leader who combines strong commercial acumen, analytical rigor, and influencing skills. Equally comfortable shaping strategy with senior leaders and diving deep into business performance, this individual drives sustainable growth through insight, challenge, and partnership.

Qualification:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree at an accredited College or University (degree in Finance or Accounting preferred)

  • >10 years post-qualification experience, with minimum

  • 5 years in managerial role of similar nature in commercial organizations

  • Skill in analyzing and solving issues related to controllership areas

  • Experience of working with senior management in matrix environment

  • Demonstrated continuous personal growth and learning agility throughout leadership journey

  • Pharmaceutical or other regulated industry experience highly desirable
