Join us at the forefront of radiopharma innovation and be part of turning breakthrough science into meaningful outcomes for patients—come build what’s next with us!

The Role

As a Scientist in the In Vivo Pharmacology group, you will play a central role in advancing our radioconjugate drug discovery portfolio. Based primarily in the lab at our Hamilton site, you will build, execute, and interpret in vivo studies that evaluate the efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetics of novel radioconjugate agents in preclinical disease models. You will work both independently and as an integral member of cross-functional project teams, directly supporting programs from early discovery through candidate selection.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct radiopharmaceutical in vivo studies (biodistribution, efficacy, PK/PD) end-to-end in rodent models of cancer or other disease indications of interest with a high degree of competence. This includes cell culture, in-life monitoring, dosing (IV, IP, subcutaneous, oral gavage), blood sampling, necropsy and tissue dissections. Conduct ex vivo analysis as needed (flow cytometry, IHC, autoradiography, biochemical assays).
  • Implement and assess new pharmacology models, technologies, and strategies to develop targeted radiotherapies.
  • Maintain meticulous records and documentation with high attention to detail, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards
  • Work both autonomously and closely with cross-functional collaborators to provide practical expertise and data package to support key decision-making
  • Write and review study documentation, analyze results, and contribute to authoring manuscripts and regulatory filings
  • Contribute to protocol development, regulatory compliance (radiation safety and animal welfare), and continuous improvement of laboratory workflows.
  • Work safely and in compliance with radioactive, biohazardous, animal ethics regulations and guidelines
  • Foster an environment of collaboration, scientific excellence, open scientific exchange, and deep scientific rigor

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Molecular/Cell Biology, Biology, Biochemistry or related field with 2+ years of preclinical pharmacology experience
  • Proven hands-on experience designing and performing in vivo pharmacology studies required (experienced with IV, IP, subcutaneous injections, oral gavage, blood collection via tail, saphenous or facial, necropsy and tissue dissections)
  • Experience with xenograft and syngeneic tumor models (tumor implantation, caliper monitoring, IVIS)
  • Must be agile and able to adjust, with demonstrated ability to manage concurrent timelines and deliverables
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to resolving issues
  • Strong record of working independently in the lab while also contributing effectively to cross-functional team efforts in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills required

Desirable:

  • Biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Experience with the safe handling of radioactive and biohazardous materials
