Oncology Account Specialist Early-Stage Lung Cancer (South-East)

As an Account Specialist you will be responsible for leading strategic account management and field engagements supporting our portfolio in early-stage lung cancer in the South-East of Belgium and Luxembourg. The role focuses on achieving our ambition through field-engagement with a broad group of stakeholders of the Multidisciplinary Oncology Team, optimization of patient care and innovative partnership development. Lead account strategy and execution:
- Map the patient journey, understand triggers to initiate treatment and opportunities to improve the patient journey
- Develop innovative partnerships and build relationships at all levels within key hospitals to identify collaborative opportunities
- Lead the creation of a bottom-up, account-driven, cross-functional action plan and priorities collaboratively with other customer-facing roles.
- Build SMART goals and set clear objectives. Analyse and uncover key insights to drive regional business planning.
- Lead regional projects and cross-functional meetings for effective key account management
Deliver on plans and achieve sales goals on budget:
- Take full accountability for the deployment of the identified activities and visits and follow-up of these
- Engage with HCPs in dialogue about approved indications, product efficacy / safety profiles and treatment protocols to support on-label prescribing for appropriate patients
- Drive sales performance and ensure sales targets meet or exceed expectations while managing budget
- Assess sales performance and market trends within the region and determine appropriate actions to enhance performance in close collaboration with National Sales Manager
Create deep stakeholder relationships:
- Understanding networks at local/hospital level and local healthcare environments to tailor engagement strategies effectively
- Establish and maintain ongoing, long term collaborative relationships with broad stakeholder group within hospitals to ensure partnership and optimization of the lung cancer patient care pathway
- Share stakeholder insight and information within AZ to strengthen relevant activities
Cross-functional collaboration:
- Connect the dots between all relevant field roles in the region and build bridges between functions both within the oncology and the respiratory business unit
- Share stakeholder insight and information within AZ to strengthen relevant activities
Be Compliant:
- Report medical queries or eventual adverse events to Medical Team
- Successfully complete all training requirements, including product examinations
- Comply with all external regulations and internal policies
- Ensure compliance with the AZ Code of Conduct, Global/local External Interactions Policy and Standards, and Privacy Policy and Standards
Education, Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Master’s degree: preferably in (para-)medical or scientific field
- Proven track record in strategic account management
- Proven track record in influencing the stakeholder decision-making process in an ecosystem with multiple influential player’s / decision makers
- Proven track record of project management
- Proven demonstration of successful working in complex cross functional teams
- Able to use IT Tools (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
- Language Skills: French and English
Desirable
- Knowledge of the healthcare environment enhancing strategic account management capabilities.
- Experience within the field of oncology, providing deeper insights into patient needs and market dynamics
- Experience with CRM-tools (e.g. Veeva)
