Senior Manager, US Oncology
The Precision Medicine Integrated Insights Senior Manager, US Oncology supports multiple biomarker driven indications across AstraZeneca’s oncology portfolio, including several upcoming launches. The role requires strong critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive approach. Recent consulting experience is highly preferred.
The Senior Manager develops actionable insights on biomarker testing in oncology, identifying key themes across indications, distinguishing signal from noise, and uncovering drivers and barriers to adoption. The role leads primary research and secondary data analytics in partnership with internal teams and external vendors. Close collaboration with PM marketing, brand insights and analytics, and other commercial collaborators is essential.
This position reports to the Director, Market Access & Precision Medicine Coordinated Insights within the US Oncology Business Excellence (OBEX) team, which supports strategic decision making through objective, data driven insights. Depending on business needs, responsibilities may also include access strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead qualitative and quantitative analyses to deliver clear, actionable insights for priority business needs.
- Identify key questions and build research and analytics plans in partnership with crossfunctional stakeholders.
- Develop deep expertise in the biomarker testing landscape to inform strategy and operational plans.
- Build concise, compelling reports and presentations that connect insights to business implications.
- Integrate insights across primary research, secondary analytics, field input, marketing, and Access Strategy to deliver commercially relevant recommendations.
- Lead benchmark development, tracking, and reporting for PM teams or brands, serving as the voice of HCPs, pathologists, and other stakeholders, as needed.
- Manage external vendors to ensure highquality project execution.
- Champion standardization and capability building across brands and franchises.
- Incorporate AI tools to improve efficiency and accelerate insights generation.

Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 3 years of consulting experience in the pharmaceutical sector.
- 4+ years of experience within pharma/biotech or related industries (analytics, management consulting, market research, investment banking), with strong preference for prior consulting experience.
- Solid understanding of primary market research methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders and communicate insights effectively.
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Economics), business (MBA), or biomedical sciences.
- Experience in oncology and/or precision medicine/biomarkers.
- Experience in market access or access strategy.
- Comfort with quantitative analytics and patientlevel datasets (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony).
- Experience developing end-to-end launch insights plans.
- Strong project or program management skills.

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $147,908.00 - $221,862.00 USD Annual. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
