A professional engineer with formal team leader responsibilities who plans and coordinates specialist engineering activities and is charged with managing project revenues over a portfolio of projects. Typical Accountabilities

  • Manages or provides technical support to multipleprojects.

  • Acts as technical owner of specific area within Engineering function ofAstraZeneca oras deep specialist in onefield.

  • Either leads the planning, managing, and monitoring of major projects from concepts through implementation, or provides expert technical support to projectmanagercarrying out thesefunctions.

  • Identifies, evaluates,recommendsand selects technical options to be adopted as globalstandards.

  • Provides technical advice and information to other functionmembers.

  • Keepsownknowledge of best practices and new developments up todate.

  • Leads trouble shooting activities to resolve existing problems and inform future Engineeringdevelopments.

  • Assistsin initiating,conductingand coordinating resource allocation and financial program evaluationreviews.

  • Gathers and analyses data related to establishing and maintaining business processes, procedures andpolicies.

  • Evaluates and monitors performance and efficiency of programs and projects to ensuretargetaremet.

  • Assistswith preparing budget status reports, forecast reports, reports on adherence to key performance indicators and other managementreports.

  • Leads project staff in preparing cost applications and budgets for new businessdevelopment.

  • Works on overall project planning by reporting on project schedules and deliverables

  • Helps co-ordinate resources within the business teams, projectteamor across thedepartment.

  • Ensure compliance of own work and work of others with Safety,Healthand Environment standards

  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) on process/system integration

  • Determinesprocess controlrequirements.

  • Resolvesissues for automationprocesses.

  • Designssystems to processrequirements.

  • Designs/executescommissioning studies.

  • Leadsinvestigations.

  • Leadsriskanalysis.

  • Leads cross functional teams, FTEs, andcontractors.

  • Approves changecontrol.

  • Executes techtransfers.

  • Conductspresentations for highermanagement.

  • Assistsin the creation ofbudgets.

  • Creates integrated project timelines

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in EngineeringorLife Sciencesor an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Auditing Experience

  • Project management experience

  • Regulations (ISPE, GAMP, Annex1, CFR)

  • Data Integrity

  • Quality Systems (Change management, investigations, etc.) 

Desirable

  • OSI PI

  • ASQ CQE (American Society of Quality Certified Quality Engineer)

  • Technology Transfer

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $101,643.80 - $152,464.20 USD Annual. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles).
