This is anexcitingopportunity to shape the future of prostate cancer care withSaruparib—AstraZeneca’s first-in-class PARP1-selective inhibitor—at the momentof its inaugural global launch.You will help steer a first launch that can redefine theprostate cancertreatment landscape, aiming to deliver meaningful benefit across broader patient populations and earlier stages of disease. As the strategic lead for market shaping, branding, and narrative development, you will translate breakthrough science into a clear, compelling value story that resonates with clinicians, payers, and patients. The role offers a rare combination of scientific innovation and commercial impact: building a foundation for multi-tumor expansion while setting a new standard in prostate cancer.You will report to theGlobal Commercial Head forSaruparib(Global Commercial Lead, Emerging DDR Portfolio),while working closely with the Integrated Business Team (IBT) to drive aligned strategy and execution in partnership with global cross-functional partners and regional teams.

Role Summary

TheGlobal Marketing Associate Director for Saruparib will lead market shaping and launch readiness for the medicine’s first launchindication, with a primary focus on prostate cancer. The role willhelp shapeand execute the global launch strategy, develop thebrandnarrative and foundational assets, and partner closely with priority markets to ensure seamless localization and pull-through. Scope includes supportingSaruparibactivities across other tumor types as part of lifecycle planning and evidence-driven expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Shaping:Drive execution oftheglobal marketshaping plan forSaruparib’sinitialindication,maximizingpriority opportunities to accelerate adoptionat launch.

  • Global Launch Strategy and Planning:Support development ofcross-functional global launch strategy (positioning, segmentation, targeting, channel mix, and investment prioritization), ensuring alignment with Clinical, Regulatory, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Evidence/HEOR plans.

  • Branding and Narrative Development:Drivedevelopment of brand fundamentals—brand positioning, value proposition, messaging architecture, visual identity, and scientifically grounded storytelling—tailored to prostate cancer and scalable across tumors.

  • Evidence and Insights Integration: Translate clinical data, HEOR, and real-world evidence into compelling value messages and objection handling; partner with Medical and HEOR on publication and congress strategies that support launch and adoption.

  • Go-to-Market Asset Creation: Lead creation of global core materials (GTM playbook, core claims, objection handling, HCP and patient materials, digital assets) for market adaptation; ensure content is compliant, evidence-based, and approved through AZ governance.

  • Cross-Market Collaboration and Enablement: Partner withtheIBT andpriority countries/regions to localize strategy, share best practices, and coordinate pre-launch activities.

  • Access and Pricing Support: Collaborate with Market Access on global value narrative, core payer materials, pricing guidance, and budget impact storytelling; support HTA/JCApreparation with aligned messaging and evidence.

  • Launch Readiness and Performance Management: Build and run the global launch readiness framework (milestones, checklists, KPIs), track performance, and drive course correction via dashboards and governance routines.

  • Lifecycle and Tumor Expansion Support: Contribute to strategy foradditionaltumor types, ensuring modular messaging, scenario planning, and evidence requirements for future indications.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:Support ongoinginsightsdevelopment and engagement withkey externalexperts, community HCPs,and patient groupsShape and apply insightstobrand strategy and implementation.

  • Budget and Vendor Management: Own relevant budgets, agency relationships, timelines, and quality standards for deliverables.Leadselectionand onboarding of the Agency of Record (AOR) forSaruparib.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

  • Experience:

  • 8+ years in biopharma commercial, global marketing, or strategy roles with direct launch responsibilities.

  • Global role experience: experience in a global HQ role leading cross-market strategies and toolkits, coordinating with multiple priority markets, and driving governance/readiness for multinational launches.

  • Oncology experience with strong familiarity in solid tumors.

  • Capabilities:

  • Ability to translate complex clinical and economic data into clear value propositions and actionable global go-to-market plans.

  • Demonstrated cross-functional leadership across Medical, Regulatory, Access, HEOR, Clinical, and Country Commercial teams.

  • Strong written and verbal communication, scientific storytelling, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Analyticalproficiencywith performance tracking, forecasting, and scenario planning.

  • Ability tooperateeffectively in ambiguity with a bias for action and measurable outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD, or relevant scientific discipline).

  • Therapeutic Area: Direct experience in prostate cancer.

  • Proven US launch success in oncology:pivotal role in at least one US launch with measurable outcomes (e.g., pre-launch market shaping, positioning/core claims, payer/access strategy, post-launch optimization).

  • Launch Breadth: Participation in multiple launches across different geographies and payer systems, including experience with HTA submissions and pricing/tender environments.

  • Global Enablement: Leadership of a Global Commercial Team or equivalent governance forum; creation of global toolkits adopted by ≥5 markets; experience running global readiness reviews.

  • Evidence Integration: Hands-on partnership with HEOR/Medical on evidence generation, publication planning, and congress strategy; experience translating RWE/HEOR into payer/HCP narratives.

  • Digital and Omnichannel: Experience designing and measuring omnichannel engagement, content modularization, and data-driven optimization across platforms.

  • Sales or customer-facing experience:Direct experience in field sales, key account management, or customer engagement (HCPs, payers, or health systems), withdemonstratedinsight translation into go-to-market strategy and adoption.

  • People and Vendor Leadership: Experience managing agencies, budgets, and, ideally, matrixed reports.

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $180,875.20 - 271,312.80 USD Annual. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
