Global Franchise Head, Datopotamab Deruxtecan & Lung Cancer
Introduction to role:
Reporting to the SVP, Global Head, Oncology Franchise, the Global Franchise Head is responsible for leading and delivering tumor leadership plans and strategy. This role involves developing and implementing the Franchise business plan globally to achieve revenue and earning objectives, improving the overall Oncology commercial promise, and ultimately delivering life-changing care to patients. The position has full P&L responsibility for the relevant Franchise globally. The Global Franchise Head will continue the development of one of AstraZeneca’s leading franchises in cancer care, leading global launches with the potential to help hundreds of thousands of patients.
This role is pivotal in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on patient's lives and changing the paradigm of care in cancer. Strong critical thinking is required to assess market trends, competition, research progress, and other variables to craft robust near- and long-term strategies for the Lung Cancer Franchise. This role also is responsible for the Lung Tumor Council along with Oncology R&D counterparts to advise our overall Oncology ambition across this therapeutic area. Collaboration with our Business Development team and early R&D is crucial to support commercial opportunities and identify key business and clinical opportunities to expand our leadership in this therapeutic area.
Accountabilities:
- Accountable for overall Datopotamab Deruxtecan (Dato DXD) commercial and development strategies across all indications.
- Develop resources and programs to support global launches.
- Partner with core markets to prepare for an outstanding number of phase III readouts and launches for Datopotamab Deruxtecan.
- Lead Integrative Business Teams to handle the life cycle of our medicines.
- Deliver and implement Phase 3/pre-launch marketing strategy & execution plans for Datopotamab Deruxtecan trials.
- Lead and deliver commercial strategy for multiple additional indications (lifecycle management).
- Work with extended teams to deliver a balanced pricing and access strategy for multiple indications.
- Collaborate with partners in Oncology R&D (ORD) to be responsible for the Dato DXD Franchise and lead the Tumor Leadership and Strategy Plans for this therapeutic area for OBU.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred (MD, PhD, MBA).

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $314,270 to $471,406 Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles).
