We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Commercial Director, Radioconjugates to join our Global Oncology Franchise Team, advancing AstraZeneca’s mission to transform cancer care and improve patient outcomes. This position reports into the Global Commercial Head, Radioconjugates.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and driving key elements of the commercialization plans for our lead Radioconjugate assets in prostate cancer by collaborating closely with the Global Product Team (GPT) and the Integrated Business Team (IBT). The role will work also closely with Global Franchise Head, Global Commercial Head, Global Product Lead and Commercial teams in key regions.
This position is central to ensuring AstraZeneca brings cutting-edge radioconjugate therapies to prostate cancer patients worldwide.
What You'll Do:
Shape pre-launch and launch plans, building clear, market-defining programs that position the brand around unmet needs in prostate cancer.
Develop and implement winning brand strategies, informed by deep market insights and regional feedback.
Partner with GPT, IBT, Medical, Market Access, Diagnostics, and regional teams to deliver launch and lifecycle objectives.
Objectively analyse the product’s profile, competitive landscape, pricing, and access, generating actionable customer and market intelligence to optimize clinical development, regulatory, and brand strategies.
Collaborate with Commercial Leadership and engage with Regional and Country teams to ensure strategic alignment and share best practices, delivering the global ambition.
Produce future-ready revenue forecasts and business cases through rigorous customer insight and commercial judgement.
Design and present key brand materials to leadership, supporting buy-in and commercial success.
Oversee budgets and agency workflows, ensuring resources are aligned to maximize campaign impact and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business or life sciences.
10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical development and commercialization.
Extensive expertise across drug development and commercialization for radioconjugate indications.
Extensive experience in global commercial strategy, launch readiness, long-term planning, and HTA validation.
Demonstrated experience in P&L management, with accountability for financial performance and budget oversight.
Ability to work in ambiguous environments and influence without authority
Established proficiency in guiding complex and uncertain projects with agility, independence, and a strategic attitude.
Effective analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with proficiency in using insights to drive brand success.
Keen understanding of the strategic and operational considerations for in-market success and proven ability to negotiation trade-offs when there are competing priorities
Exceptional teamwork and alliance-building capabilities, adept at working with scientific and business groups.
Proven leadership in building effective teams and leading cross-functional, matrixed organizations.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA, PhD, or advanced degree in a related field.
Sales or customer-facing experience.
Experience in both market and global commercial organizations.
Management experience leading diverse teams.
In-depth knowledge of global healthcare regulations, compliance, and pharmacovigilance.
This position is be based at our Gaithersburg, MD campus (US Headquarters for Global Oncology Business Unit). The annual base pay for this position ranges from $229,303 - 343,954 USD. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
