Specialist II Quality Control

Must be available to work - Wednesday through Saturday, 2PM to Midnight

Responsibilities

  • Good organizational skills, basic first-line management skills for daily operation, Situational Leadership, decision making skills
  • Responsible oversight for the testing of raw materials, in process samples, and finished product testing according to standard operating procedures.
  • In-direct supervision of lower level personnel.
  • Investigate and resolve problems. Clear and concise communication to Management.
  • Coordination of tasks to meet assigned schedule
  • Audit support, including presenting information to regulatory agencies, and performing laboratory tours.
  • Coordination of projects and project management.
  • Develops solutions to complex problems requiring ingenuity and creativity/innovation.
  • Ensures solutions are consistent with organization’s objectives
  • Work is performed without appreciable direction.
  • Responsible for the oversight and performance of Quality Control testing.

Knowledge

  • Complete knowledge of the job.  Full understanding of the general and detailed aspects of the job.  Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques associated with specific tasks.

Problem Solving

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Freedom To Act

  • Limited supervision and instructions given for routine work.  Detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments.

  • Errors can be detected and corrected but may delay lot release.

Interpersonal Communication

  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset are required for execution of daily activities.
  • Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other department, and/or representing outside organizations

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree: Scientific / Biotech / Pharmaceutical field of study with 4+ years of analytical testing experience in pharmaceutical industry

Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Master’s degree: Scientific / biotech / Pharmaceutical field of study with 2+ years of analytical testing experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $79,367 to $119,050. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives—an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles. Benefits offered include qualified retirement programs, paid time off (i.e., vacation, holiday, and leaves), as well as health, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
