Are you ready to break new ground and leave a collective legacy? As a Production Technician I at AstraZeneca, you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in evolving our Supply Chain. You will be operating upstream / downstream / central services processing equipment according to established SOPs. The facilities:

The center operates 24/7 with multiple shift schedules.  We have dedicated employee teams who encourage site engagement passionate about community outreach, environmental issues, health and wellness, and site activities/events! 

Job Responsibilities (this list is not exhaustive):

  • Operation of processing equipment according to established SOPs, MPRs, & SPRs in accordance with cGMPs. Related operations include but are not limited to solution preparation, cell culture, purification & formulation, and supporting activities.

  • Qualified on the floor trainer. 

  • Demonstrates sophisticated equipment/process knowledge to diagnose issues and participate in first-line troubleshooting and root cause analysis. 

  • Follow and implement cGMP documentation.

  • Maintain qualifications in Production Technician duties

  • Use Manufacturing Execution systems (MES).

  • Complete work orders within system. 

  • Support SOP updates. 

  • Contributes proactively to problem solving activities for non-routine activities on production floor. 

  • Perform duties with basic direction. 

  • Lead indirect processing activities in support of MFG operations. 

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives. 

  • Align with AstraZeneca values and behaviors. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Tech I: High School Diploma/GED +1 year experience in a pharmaceutical/ biopharma environment

  • Tech II: High School Diploma/GED +2 years' experience in a pharmaceutical/ biopharma environment

  • Tech III: High School Diploma/GED +3 years' experience in a pharmaceutical/ biopharma environment

Desirable Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree

  • Degree in STEM field

  • Ability to work independently or in collaboration with others on assigned tasks

  • Computer skills

  • Prior experience with aseptic/cGMP standards

  • Extensive prior experience in Bioprocessing work environment/ systems/ equipment operation
