Global Clinical Solutions powers the services and technology that enable AstraZeneca’s clinical development at scale. As a GCS Manager, you will coordinate, lead, and continuously improve the processes, systems, and services that help teams deliver clinical programs to time, cost, and quality—across all delivery models. You’ll own improvements end to end, guide standard process, and serve as a go-to expert in your GCS domain.
What you’ll do
Lead service delivery: Coordinate and deliver GCS services, lifecycle management, and business continuity for projects, services, and technology.
Enable users: Provide expert support and training, facilitate knowledge sharing, define best practice, and keep team members aligned across GCS and AZ.
Improve how we work: Analyze processes/tools to identify efficiency and effectiveness gains; build business cases and manage lean improvement projects from plan to measurable outcomes.
Be the subject-matter hub: Act as a knowledge source for one or more GCS areas; support implementation of change across functions and teams.
Track performance: Monitor program efficiency and delivery to targets; manage risks and issues, escalating through governance to unlock rapid solutions.
Train colleagues in continuous improvement, strengthen team capabilities, and embed a learning attitude with robust knowledge management.
What you’ll bring
Bachelors Degree (biological/health sciences preferred)
Domain knowledge: Experience across clinical development; 2+ years in drug development within pharma/clinical settings; understanding of ICH-GCP in study delivery.
Solid project management, organisation, and analytical skills; consistent track record delivering to time, cost, and quality.
Stakeholder management, and presentation skills; able to influence without authority.
Collaborative, proactive, and curious; effective risk/issue management and governance navigation; shares lessons learned to drive adoption.
Experience with Lean Six Sigma or similar, root-cause analysis, and process improvement.
